Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Angela Andreyev. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Angela, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
In my field of work, it’s takes skill and heart to be successful. Being a hairdresser, women sit in my chair, trusting me with something pretty important to them. There are many hair dressers out there that do great work. I pride myself in not only my work, but also how much I truly care. My goal is to have each client leave my chair looking and feeling their best. When you do that, word of mouth is the best tool. We share what with others experiences that we love. That’s what it takes to be successful as a hairdresser.

Angela, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Angela Andreyev, also known as Ang. Angkhair on Instagram is where you can find me. I am a hairdresser located in old Roseville at the beauty parlor. I am a wife and a mom to the most perfect little 17 month old named Adeline.
I have been a hair dresser for almost 7 years now and truly love what I do. Right out of high school I nannied for a family who were our previous salon owners. I was always so
Interested in the work she’d do. Always asking for before and after photos of the hair color that she would create. Also loved that she was able to work part time, but also be home with her kids a few days a week as well. So i decided, why not try it out? And it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Working behind the chair is a joy. I love making women feel beautiful. I specialize in all things blondes, brunettes and in between. I love working with each clients natural base color to ensure a beautiful, blended, and seamless grow out. I create color that best suits each clients lifestyle. My busy moms can come in 1-2 times a year. My gals who love to be bright blonde come in about every 3 months.
I love being a part of all of life’s exciting moments. First date? Engagement? Wedding day? Baby shower? Your kids birthdays? I get to hear all about it, and help each woman feel beautiful.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Word of mouth + Social media!!
You do great work, people love it and will share with their family and friends. And their hair is a walking advertisement as well.
Posting on social media is a huge one! Being consistent with posting and sharing your work will help get exposure to your account.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
When you build a relationship with your clients it comes easy. They become like family. They get engaged, I am so excited for them! My client who has struggled with infertility is finally pregnant, my eyes are in tears with them.
When you foster that relationship, it cultivates a loyalty.
Of course on top of doing great hair.
