We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Angel Woodland. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Angel below.
Angel, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I grew up in a community with it’s own style and culture that designed, styled and created their own clothing and also raised by a mother who models and is a seamstress and 2 grandmothers who did the same. I remember our community having fashion shows and days where we would have a market with everyone’s own clothing and accessories laid out on tables in selling booths for showcasing and selling. The epic designs of these products and the different elements that made up each clothing and accessories fascinated me. Since then, this fascination grew into a passion and an obsession, leading me to eventually become hyper-focused around fashion designing and styling for every race, religion, culture, ethnicity, size and gender all around the world. I’m stoked to have found the intersection between all of my favorite things, and now spend my days designing and styling dresses, tops, pants, skirts, shoes, bonnets and more!
I love to wear my own unique style, so I know that feeling when you put on your favorite outfit. That outfit from one of your best days that takes you back to the moment, or your favorite outfit that makes you feel confident to go out and do the things you love. There’s something so exciting about reliving your best memories through your clothes, and something so empowering about literally wearing your passions with pride, front and center for all to see.
My clothing line says a lot about me, my interests and my passions, and make me feel like part of a movement so much bigger than just myself. Whatever the message, when I wear my heart on my literal sleeve, I get a feeling of royalty, positivity, and shared passion. This is why I’m so passionate about connecting all race of people through amazing clothing.

Last Foreign Queen is an online store that sells clothing, shoes, and accessories that was established on February 20, 2015, and was founded by Angel Woodland. Angel’s Last Foreign Queen company offers clothing for any occasion, all available online. Last Foreign Queen brings out your royal side, be confident and be positive. Last Foreign Queen look and feel of the clothes are distinct and create a shopping experience that is unique, creative, and fun.
Angel started her business after her sister was killed and she needed something to help her cope and deal with her depression so she decided to do a clothing line because of her love for fashion, her mother Is also a semester and also both of her grandmothers modeled in their earlier years.
Last Foreign Queen represents her culture and where she’s from which is Israel, the middle east which is in Africa, and next door to Egypt so I combined Dashiki/African print with Egyptian print with a touch of modern style day and urban culture.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I built my audience on social media by posting consistently, staying active, networking and engaging with people on social media. My advice for anyone who is just starting to build their social media presence is to always post at least once a day about you, your business and just random memes, jokes or anything else that can always keep people interested in you and also your business and never get discouraged because small amounts of likes, comments, shares, views or followers because even when you have a small following and 0 likes people are still always watching and that’s all that matters cause all you need is the right person to see your post.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
When I started my business in 2015 it took me 3 years to actually gain customers, audience, recognition and revenue that I almost gave up on because I was so tired of working so hard and investing so much money and time into it and not getting anything in return but I kept going and listed more products and one day I just started getting orders back to back for wholesale size orders and started making 2k a week and realized that if I had given up I would’ve missed out on my blessings that was right around the corner waiting for me to reach the finish line
