We recently connected with Angel Quintana and have shared our conversation below.
Angel, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. One of the things we most admire about small businesses is their ability to diverge from the corporate/industry standard. Is there something that you or your brand do that differs from the industry standard? We’d love to hear about it as well as any stories you might have that illustrate how or why this difference matters.
The industry standard places more value on the left brain than the right brain. Whether it be at a corporate job, in school, or even in relationships, we have been conditioned to place more value on the masculine energy. This defies the natural Law of Gender, which celebrates the alchemical marriage between the masculine and feminine.
The right brain is our creative, more intuitive side. This is where true brilliance and innovation are birthed. Without new ideas, the world becomes formulaic and robotic.
To reverse the industry standard would be to honor the sacred feminine and utilize our right brain without apology. This means, we must give ourself permission to get messy and honor chaos. We have been programmed to be professional, unemotional, rigid, and science oriented.
Without the sacred feminine, humanity truly cannot survive.

Angel, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My business and mission is to help create sovereign leaders. I have spent more than a decade working alongside innovative thinkers and action-takers who feel called to create a better world.
Through my flagship programs: Life Path Astrology®️ Certification, Sophia Rising Leadership Training, Sacred Anarchy Teacher Training, I have cultivated a philosophy and methodology I call Sophia Cosmology. This philosophy offers a wide lens view on the cosmos at large, how the stars play a vital role in our purpose, and how to nourish our inner solar system to unlock our true essence.
Learning to stand courageously in your own skin, while living in accordance with Natural Law, we begin to see the world through a new lens. This new lens offers compassion for your fellow man, and yourself.
Through astrology, magick, and the tree of life, I guide my clients to see themselves more organically, that they are not merely a physical body, but actually reside in many realms in our Universe, including the astral plan, mental plane, and soul plane.
It’s important in my work that my clients go on to help others see their own divinity. This is how we change the world.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Having been a business coach for over a decade, about 5 years ago I had to make a decision: to continue helping entrepreneurs build their business and monetize their genius or to honor my internal guidance system which was pushing me to share my secret behavior and passion for truth.
This secret behavior was studying the occult. Since I was 14 years old I had been studying astrology. In fact, astrology became my mother. She taught me so much about myself, I am forever grateful for her insight and wisdom. But this was only the beginning.
Sacred texts like The Kybalion and the great mystics like Rudolf Steiner and Carl Jung, and creative thinkers like Neitzsche and Socrates, showed me that my life purpose was far beyond helping businesses get off the ground or to simply make money.
To more I dived into the occult, the stronger the push became. I asked my existing community and clients if they would be interested in my integrating wisdom teachings and astrology into my business coaching practice. To my surprise, 50% of my community said no.
At that point, I had to make a decision. To continue serving as I also had, or to infuse astrology, tarot, magick, and the occult wisdom I had acquired over the past 30+ years… the decision was obvious.
Within a couple weeks, I had developed an astrological methodology, which I later named Life Path Astrology®️.Needless to say, I am more fulfilled spiritually in my business and I never looked back.
What I found on the other side of following my true Will is that money is no longer a driving force for me. Building a business with the primary focus on money was merely a trap of enslavement. I wanted more for myself and for my community.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?
I am a big fan of building a business grassroots style. You don’t need a lot of money to start a business or even a loan or credit card. The best capital for any new business is effort and passion. If you have those two things that’s all you need.
But that doesn’t mean you will know how to do everything. This is why effort is important. You have to put in the effort to learn the things you don’t know. From building a website to marketing your business, there are so many softwares for building beautiful websites for a few dollars a month and social media is free.
That’s where passion comes in. If you love what you do, your clients, and are clear about your mission, everything else is work-out-able. Social media can be time consuming, but my suggestion would be to use social media to promote your blog posts and videos.
Again, writing a blog post and creating a video can be done without additional costs or equipment. You can record your videos on your phone and write blog posts directly on your website.
It’s not as intimidating as it seems. You just have to have a force driving that is bigger than just making money. You have to want to make a difference.
