Hi Angel, thanks for joining us today. We’ve love to hear an interesting investment story – what was one of the best or worst investments you’ve made? (Note, these responses are only intended as entertainment and shouldn’t be construed as investment advice)
I think the best investment is to invest in yourself ( happiness ) buy those ” toys ” you always wanted .
for a long time any all profit i made from art always went to bills or something of the sort. i wasn’t seeing the sales of my art go to anything that brought me joy to say .
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Moving around a lot as a child. I was influence by many types of art from graffiti to fine art. My body of work is my approach in combining all that I was influenced by. After studying at the American Academy of Art in Chicago I’ve grown to envision a different direction I wanted to take my work. Focusing my approach on creating a stylized work with balance and movement. As well as unity, pattern. My art is about evolving and bridging the gap between fine art and urban art. My work primarily consists of straightforward designs and abstract geometric compositions. They reflect my appreciation for simplicity and movement.
While I use a variety of materials and processes in each project my methodology is consistent. Although there may not always be material similarities between the different projects, they are linked by recurring formal concerns and through the subject matter. The subject matter of each body of work determines the materials and the forms of the work.
My work has been collected and featured and underwritten by the C.T.A, YMCA, Verizon and Amtrak, Displayed and showcased at Chicago Truborn Gallery (Chicago) , The Chicago Water Tower ,Galerie F (Chicago) NYCH Gallery (Chicago) , Union League (Chicago) Man One Galley (L.A) To name a few and displayed in cities like Chicago, L.A., San Francisco, Houston, New York with Australian publications.
