We recently connected with Angel Murillo aka OG Baby and have shared our conversation below.
Angel, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
Taking a risk is the most important thing you can do as an artist. betting on yourself. Some of the risks I’ve taken were quitting my job with little savings moving to a different city with no stable income living on my friends couch while he went to college I was making connections and using his recording equipment while he was gone or asleep sharpening my craft.
Then doing it again in another city while I interned at a studio
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Background and Journey into the Industry
I’ve always had a deep passion for music and creativity. My journey began in my teenage years when I held cyphers in my bedroom, recording and making beats with basic equipment. After dropping out of high school, I earned my GED and moved to Orlando while my friends attended Full Sail University. While there, I absorbed as much knowledge as I could about the music industry. Eventually, I built a home studio in Fort Myers, earned a recording engineer certification, and interned at Circle House in Miami. These experiences, though challenging, solidified my love for the industry and set me on the path to opening my own studio.
Services and Creative Works
My studio in Fort Myers is more than just a recording space; it’s a creative hub where great things happen. We provide a range of services, including:

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
One of the hardest parts of my journey has been doing things out of love. As an intern in Miami, I wasn’t making much money—I barely had enough for Ubers to get to work. I worked over 14-hour days, for free in the beginning then earning 40 dollars a day and just having to keep climbing that ladder at Circle House. After my shifts, I’d sneak into an open room with my friend Ray to work on beats and music. Even now, owning my studio, I’m just starting to pay myself. Initially, it was all about making enough to keep the studio open. These sacrifices are part of the short-term pain for long-term gain.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My mission is to provide platforms that support individuals on their personal journeys, creating opportunities for those interested in the music business to earn income, and consistently deliver high-quality music products. that includes my own artistry
