Angalaise , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
Wow, going through the actual launching stage was very stressful! I believe I’m still going through it, in some ways. It’s only been 3 months since we’ve made the idea a reality. I always knew I wanted to be a Entrepreneur. After covid hit, I had plenty of time to think of what made me happy that I could turn into revenue for my family and I. After 1 year of only brainstorming, I came to the realization that organizing things really gave me much pleasure! Growing up with a mother like mine. I was taught early how to clean, and organize. It became a habit that stuck with me. I then begin to put a business plan together. Constantly reviewing, researching, and revising my business plan until I finally came up with something that worked for me. It took a enormous time researching the ends and outs of this specific type of work. Since I did not attend college for organizing and was not giving any certificate for this type of business I knew I would have to work my way up to the top. I still consider myself a “Pro” professional, in this game. Doing this type of work takes a tremendous amount of patience, time, hard work, skilled precision, an eye for design and a continuous need to provide a clean, neat, organized, and functional space. Keeping in mind every client and their wants and needs are completely different. So with all that being said I really wanted to execute a very strategic business plan that will fit all my clienteles needs. With doing so brought great stress, and a lot of sleepless nights. Going over so much paperwork with how to go about starting a business. Asking other business owners I know and not really being given the information I needed. Getting the feeling, others didn’t want me to become my own business owner. They really didn’t give to much information about what web site’s to go to receive the proper content needed to make a business a business. I was confused on if I should make my business a LLC verses a Corporation, S Corp, C Corp. I must’ve stayed up all night several days just to figure out all 13 different ways to own a company. After starting the business, I thought I would feel this huge weight lift, when just the opposite happened. It felt like the weight of rhe world was on my shoulders. Going back and forth about the name was a long process for my family and I. It took us days to.figure out a logo that everyone agreed on. We all had ro decide what our roles would be in this company. My children and husband was very helpful and really did their best to help make this process as stress free as possible. Even though I continued to worry about every little detail because before this journey started I would stress until the job was done. I can honestly say those days have long gone. Opening my own business has taught me patience and to truly look at the world as my play ground instead of a hard optical I have to go through. I’m continuously learning about my trade and how to make my business better, different than others in my same field and still thrive in today’s economy. I look forward to days my calendar is completely booked up and I’m on television commercials, while my phone’s constantly ringing with new clients.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m a fun, and loving wife and mom, who got into the organizing and cleaning business because where I live that type of work was non existing and I felt like it xould very lucrative for me. I offer my clients the luxury of relaxing while I declutter, organize, or just cleaning spaces they prefer not to do. Most organizers want you to go through your items first before the process of them organizing your things. My approach is different. I prefer to tackle these task with my client rather than ti leave them alone to do so. Such projects I find easy will not always be the same for a client. In some cases I have found that it is very hard for clients to depart with their belongings. That’s a huge reason why I like to stay by my clients side as they make such difficult decisions. I enjoy the after math of these projects. Giving my client their space back. Their comfort back, and in some cases, being able to allow them to live again within their home. I enjoy before and after photos. It shows the amount of energy, passion, and time I put into making my client’s happy. I am most proud of myself for following the path I was meant to be on. Choosing myself, and having confidence in myself to take that leap on faith and start my own business. For being the 1st person in my family to own a business. Being a black small business owner is a accomplishment within it’s self in today’s economy and society. I work very hard for my clients. Insuring their happiness and making their space and functional and working space that they can enjoy. I will always strive to make my business better and continue to learn from other’s in this industry. It may not be easy, but anything worth having never is!

How did you build your audience on social media?
I created a Instagram page, as well as fb and other’s. By creating different flyers, getting the proper audience as followers was the hardest I felt like. Creating cards and paper flyers also helped put my name out their. Promoting your own business is a major part of owning a business for the 1st time. Making sure all social media sites was properly on the cards and flyers was crucial. Having to constantly keep on your mind to post about your business can be difficult for someone who doesn’t care for social media. I knew I hard to learn to like social media networking, and Learn the proper ways of doing so. It’s plenty of scammers to look out for. Remembering how I wanted to brand my business was a huge part of learning the social media side of companies.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Being homeless several times, and having children in the midst of that, really made me want to never stop learning, never stop wanting to do better, have better, and live better. I remember having a apartment and a really bad tornado erupted and caused a tree to fall on my children and I home. Not having any help after, and that being the cause of our homelessness was a hard pill to swallow. Now when I’m having a hard time or think things are not going as planned. I remember those bad times and how I excelled back to where I was and pushed forward to where we are now. I continue to make that a motivation of mine. The feeling of lose and destitute is a feeling I don’t ever want to feel again.
