Anez, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Do you wish you had started your creative business/career sooner?

That’s a fascinating question – when I reflect on the dynamic advancements in my non-artistic pursuits, the obvious answer would be of course I wish I had started sooner. Yet, deep down, I believe that the timing of opportunities is crucial in our lives. Embracing chances that exceed our preparedness can lead to catastrophic outcomes. Through various job experiences, I have gleaned invaluable lessons and evolved as an individual. These roles not only equipped me with a distinctive skill set on a technical level, but also instilled in me the importance of assertiveness and unwavering ethics. Notably, my involvement in ecommerce gave me so much insights into running a business. Without this wealth of experience, I would be adrift in navigational uncertainty, unaware of how to construct a website, understand tax regulations, handle accounting matters, or engage in compliant marketing. The accumulated experiences and honed skills have served as the foundation for successfully launching and maintaining my very own enterprise and I’m very grateful to all my past experiences.

About Me I’m Anez, I’m a luxury abstract artist, and I call the stunning island of Malta my home. Malta is located in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. Here, amidst the heat, intensity, and rocky landscapes, I find my inspiration to create mesmerizing abstract paintings that encapsulate the essence of this remarkable region.

As an abstract artist, my passion lies in creating unique and captivating pieces of art that evoke emotion and tell a story. But my art doesn’t stop at the canvas. I invite all the lovers of luxury, art and design to join me on my artistic journey. My art aims to transform people’s homes into a personal oasis of luxury and indulgence, a harmonious blend of Mediterranean charm and beauty within the confines of their own four walls.

I firmly believe that we all deserve to lavish ourselves with beauty to create our personal paradise – a sanctuary where we can truly unwind, find pleasure, and disconnect from the frantic world around. As simple as that!
Embracing the belief that luxury is not only reserved for holidays and special occasions, I’m here to help people create a luxurious space within their homes, where the spirit of the Mediterranean can come alive. I offer people a remarkable possibility to infuse their daily lives with the warmth, vibrancy, and creative energy that this region is renowned for. I’m thrilled to share my world, where the beauty of the Mediterranean unfolds through vivid brushstrokes, gritty textures, and captivating colors.

what does luxury mean to you?

For everyone luxury means something different. When I think luxury I imagine a sense of profound relaxation, akin to stepping into a five-star hotel: a feeling when your senses are instantly soothed, the gentle, ambient music fills the air, the delicate and pleasant aromas, the tranquil atmosphere, quiet and clean spaces, sumptuous carpets, luxuriously comfortable chairs, symphony of harmonious lines, captivating colours invite you to unwind and indulge…
And imagine if you could feel like this every day? Wouldn’t it be spectacular? Through creating my own luxurious space, I have discovered that the true essence of luxury is not only found in far-flung destinations but can also be experienced right at home.

You also mentioned Mediterranean region in your introduction, does this region bear any specific meaning to you?

The Magic of The Mediterranean
It is my mission to bring the spirit of the Mediterranean to life through my expressive abstract paintings. Malta has awakened my creativity for abstract art and this part of the world will always be special for me. Malta, with its diverse and vibrant culture, is a captivating melting pot of influences, further heightened by the invigorating magic of abundant sunlight. There is something daring and extraordinary about how life is celebrated in this region. Living in such an extraordinary location, on the outskirts of Europe, and calling a holiday destination my home, has given me a unique perspective on luxury, quality of life, and the art of celebrating life itself.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

I don’t thinks I’m able to pick only one haha. Like many, my professional life couldn’t be further from the world of art. It’s a curious blend of finance, accounting, compliance, and corporate governance. These roles are undoubtedly important, but they often lack the ability to truly make a tangible impact on someone’s life. What’s also interesting, those responsibilities were tightly regulated and bound by strict rules and specific guidelines…

Being an artist and having people buying your artwork and welcoming it to their homes it’s a huge honour. When my collectors tell me that my art enhances the energy of their home, brings them joy, solace, or relaxation, it evokes an indescribable feeling. It may seem insignificant to some, but to me, every heartfelt comment from my collectors is beyond measure. These sentiments hold such weight because each original artwork carries the energy and essence of its creation. I intentionally paint only when my energy levels are high, ensuring that each stroke reflects my passion and intent. Perhaps this is why people feel so at ease and uplifted in the presence of my paintings.

And the second point which I have to mention here is the feeling of being completely free during the process of creation. There are no boundaries, no limitations, I can experiment with textures and colours and this feeling is priceless. Many people ask me if I do commissions and I did consider it but knowing how precious the feeling of freedom is, I don’t think I can let it go and paint accordingly to someone’s instructions….

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?

I firmly believe that cultivating the right mindset is crucial for achieving success. Countless books delve into this subject, covering various strategies and techniques. However, I would suggest considering individual mentoring programs or sessions. Each of us is unique, with distinct backgrounds and upbringings, resulting in different limiting beliefs. These beliefs often hinder our path to success, and the interesting part is that we are often unaware they exist, as they operate on our subconscious level.

One of the most significant shifts in my mindset occurred when I realized the need to let go of perfectionism. It became clear to me that I must show greater compassion towards myself, recognizing that temporary failures and mistakes are a natural part of the growth process. Embracing these setbacks, learning from them, and celebrating even the smallest achievements has transformed my approach.
