We recently connected with Andy Kowalski and have shared our conversation below.
Andy, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
What I’ve learned to grow and scale my business was to spend time learning every day.. reading inspirational books, researching, and developing in what’s the “latest and greatest” for my industry. Working smarter, not harder. I once believed that working in the trenches and being with my employees side by side every day would make me successful. Not one individual can do it alone; it takes a team. Whatever inspirational saying you can think of is actually true, so choose one that speaks to you deeply and follow it!
I went back to some of my small company management books after working in the real estate sector for more than 19 years and discovered that I had been operating without the necessary basis all along. I have to admit that after developing my personal and professional mission, vision, and core values, I have actually opened up more chances and drawn an audience I never would have encountered before. Being a serial entrepreneur, my ultimate purpose in life is to SERVE rather than to amass as much wealth as possible. Serving and giving makes me happy and enable me to assist people in realizing the “American Dream” of owning a home or with business coaching and mentorship, real estate investment, relationship building, and getting into the appropriate rooms and masterminds to advance their careers. Throughout the years and with more than a thousand properties sold, relationships have proven to be crucial. Being true to yourself in all facets of your life. To succeed, you need to possess these qualities.
Andy, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My experience working in the restaurant industry opened my eyes to the possibilities in real estate. I began working in real estate in 2004. With my abilities, principles, and real estate knowledge, I recognized the opportunity to help people. I was born and raised in Central Bucks County, and I have a strong sense of connection to it. I enjoy sharing the wonders and history of my hometown with others. By the age of 26, I have acquired the skills and information necessary to advance my career and create the Andy Kowalski team. From the 2008 recession to the 2020 Pandemic, we have persevered, but we have also shown that we can overcome challenges and improve.
With our guiding principle to SERVE, we are committed to going above and beyond to meet the needs of our customers. Becoming the region’s most dependable real estate authority is our goal. We pledge to provide our customers with the best possible service.
Our modest beginnings, our guiding principles, and our faith have contributed to our successes and served as a success testimonial for who we were before and who we are now. Our team is still working hard to go above and beyond the call of duty for our clients. We will be the future of real estate and become the lifestyle company that fulfills the life everyone hopes for, living the American Dream.
The Andy Kowalski Team aspires to be more than just a real estate firm; we wanted to become a home for our real estate clients. Every employee reflects the company’s fundamental principles and is committed to delivering outcomes that are timely and effective, as well as finding families a place that feels like home and ensuring listings are competitively marketable. With the team led by Andy Kowalski, we go “beyond business!”
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
in the Real Estate industry, communication is the most important component! When I started in 2004, there was no social media and text messaging wasn’t as popular as it is today.. I had to pick up the phone and have good conversations and some hard conversations or I would have to meet them in person at my office or at their home.. The real conversations I was having helped build trust with my clients, they could feel my energy and passion and knew I was working for them. Today, its a whole different story, Social media, video email marketing, Facebook, Instagram, etc. are all acceptable forms of communication, branding, and marketing. I have clients connect with me thru every social site including WhatsApp and LinkedIn and sometimes that’s the only way they would like to communicate. Building trust and loyalty thru social media is different for every industry but really is the same if you get right down to the core. Your energy and knowledge. If you speak from the heart and truly care about your audience, they feel it and if you know what you’re talking about, they can google your statements and “fact-check” you all day long and know that you are speaking the truth.. I’ve learned a long time back that if a customer asks you a question and you do not know the answer, be honest and say, “Im not sure, let me find out the correct answer for you” That builds trust as well!
Any advice for managing a team?
Start with a solid foundation. If you don’t have your mission, vision, and core values laid out, your team won’t work long-term. I’ve built many teams over the years and recruited a lot of Realtors over the years and some stick with you, but most will not see the value or have the same values you have.
When you have your Core Values, Mission, and Vision written and put out there for everyone to see, you not only attract more business, but the right team members you want to work with that also have the same values you do! This is the most important step that everyone falls short on when building the right team. Don’t miss this step! You wouldn’t buy a house without a foundation would ya? why would you expect people to buy from you and/or work with you when they don’t know the direction and values your company/team can deliver on?
