We were lucky to catch up with Andrew Scheidemann recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Andrew thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Are you happy as a creative professional? Do you sometimes wonder what it would be like to work for someone else?
I have been an artist all my life, since i was in middle school acting was everything to me, however coming from a country like colombia, there was nkt persuing of your dreams, your family push you to become something that will give you money, stability and a good life, so either you become a doctor, a lawyer or an engineer and eventually thats what i did i went to college and graduated with two major degrees for biomedial engineer and industrial engineer, after that for years i have the desire 9 to 5 job, but inside of me i knew i wanted more, i knew i wasn’t happy, i knew my life couldn’t be just a tie and an office doing things i just don’t care for at all. So when i took the chance and left everything behind for a better life and move to the United States i said to myself that money will not be the center of my life anymore, i wanted to wake up everyday with a smile on my face again, i wanted to entertain, i wanted to bring happiness to the world, and eventually money will come to me! Amd thats what i did! So im not saying a regular job is bad, is just not for me! Instead i choose to work every single day doing content creation, doing videos for the world and there are no better recognition than reading comments of how what i do makes someone’s day a little better, or if someone is sick i can help then go through their day, i love my job! Im happier than i have ever been in my life, it was hard to get here but i dont regret anything and this ks just the very beggining, there are so much wonderful thing coming! So to everyone out there who is afraid of being happy because money is tight, because money is your everything! Stop! It is not! Listen to you body, your mind and your heart and do something that will make you a little bit happier!

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Girl, i mean my whole life has been about resilience, being Latino, a big guy and Gay in Colombia and then in the USA believe me things have not been easy for me, nothing has ever been given to me in a silver plate and i have had to work for every single thing i have or that has happened to me! Specially moving to L.A. was the biggest humbling and hard experience of my life, coming from having a good life and from a good family in colombia, to living with drug addicts, sex workers and rats on my ceilings was a complete shocked but i wouldn’t change it for anything, it really shape who i am and what i stand for! And i will do it all over again!
