We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Andrew Hanson. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Andrew below.
Andrew, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
Legacy is a big one for me and our company. There are thousands of extremely profitable businesses out there. Yet, all I really know about them is that they are profitable. That means good business, good products — something that many have done over time.
We are working to create a legacy of love and kindess towards everyone — not just our direct clients. I want people to be impressed not only by our work, but by how we treat everyone. We are small business, there’s no doubt about that. But I believe that allows us to take a little more time to create REAL relationships with people. That’s legacy.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I started my photography and videography career after I graduated college. I wanted to increase my chances at getting a good job, so I added camera work to my skillset. After working in it for a few years, I completely fell in love with it and had to go fully in. I started by creating free promo videos for businesses in my city and eventually worked my way into a full-time business. People want to see an awesome portfolio — that will build trust and credibility very quickly and increase your conversion rates drastically.
I believe that our personality and relationship-building mindset sets us apart from others. We also love to be extremely dependable — working late hours and being a text away from our clients needs.
I want our clients to know they can truly trust us no matter what. We are true to our word and will work with them through whatever comes up. We care more about them as a person than a client.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
We’ve definitely had our fair share of resilience. Our first couple months of full-time business was the most unprofitable time in my photography career. Every day we were continuously reaching out to businesses, emailing, calling, etc just to get a lead of any kind. Over the course of those 2 months we really found out what it takes to keep going no matter what. Slowly but surely, we began to book with clients and see awesome results.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
We are huge on creating trust between us and our clients. We always give the option of texting and social media messaging when creating communication channels between our clients. We want them to know they’ve always got our ear for any ideas, thoughts, or projects coming up. I think that’s super important as a small business. You have the ability to give clients the love that big corporations might not.
