We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Andrew Edward P.. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Andrew Edward below.
Hi Andrew Edward, thanks for joining us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
I can think of a million cliches to write down here, but at the end of the day, being easy to work with, saying yes, being willing to compromise, and most importantly, maintaining a good attitude even under pressure have all been the greatest attributions to my success as a content creator.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
When I was little, camcorders and digital cameras incredibly intrigued me, so much so that I would beg my grandmother to let me operate her camcorder, and with hesitation, she allowed it. Eventually I talked my mom into buying one, and immediately I was out making skate videos and prank videos with my punk group of friends. At the age of 13, I was shooting and editing content, and it still blows my mind. Soon after, I attended a video production academy, a school within my high school. I was at the top of my class, winning awards for my projects. I went on to study film in college along with my other passion, music. That’s where I found people who needed content the most: musicians. I became the go-to guy anytime anyone needed content, and it’s pretty much been the same way since.
Music videos, photos, short-form content for social media, event recap videos—pretty much anything a band or artist needs, I can do. It’s been 19+ years since I made my first video, and I’ll never stop.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Making something from nothing with a laptop and a camera is one of the most fulfilling things. Epic photos and videos that didn’t exist, but now… do. Presenting these finished works to the client, the subject, and them being happy with the outcome. After all, if they win, I win. I want the content to be the best it can be.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?
I spent a few years after college as a production assistant for big-budget commercials and music videos. Not only did it fund a lot of my equipment, but it taught me tons. I still do it from time to time, but it’s super rare now. Those sets are massive, with large crews and giant gear worth more than most cars. One of my selling points to potential clients is proving you don’t really need all of that to end up with content that looks super professional.
