We were lucky to catch up with Andrew Beltz recently and have shared our conversation below.
Andrew, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
The Adventures of BDE 1. The first project our group put out as a band. It took months to craft the identity and brand of BDE. BDE is all about promoting positive life, mind, and vibes. It’s also about embracing who you are to the fullest and giving yourself the confidence to show that to the world. This project summarized our first year as a group between the fun loving side and the passion in-between. The Adventures of BDE 2. The second project where we added our most recent artist to our group, Odd Coal . It shows the start of a new era of our music and shows how we have evolved in our first year as a band. Odd Coal, or ODD, brings an energy and presence to the stage and microphone that matches what BDE stands for which made the transition super seamless and fun.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
We all started a bit differently. Beltz being the oldest started music as a hobby back in 2011, which eventually moved into performing art on stages across the midwest. He went from having a small record label that eventually split up to meeting the collective known as F3 where the BDE Boys formed underneath. BDE before the band was a t-shirt company he had started. Which was a lifestyle brand that was all about being the best you, you could be for yourself and others. Promoting a positive life, vibe and mind. D.mo the founder of f3 had gone to school at IPR for production and marketing. d.mo’s best friend xquisite was a mutual friend between beltz and d.mo where we all finally got to meet and start to make history. Xquisites back story came from a history of musicians in his family. His oldest Brother tyler aka T.Ly was a legend to the southern mn music scene. Giving him inspiration to be who he is today. As for ODD Coal he had been doing writing and recording music for a few years prior, and once Mock Productions had opened up he came to test waters falling right into the balance of F3 and our wide variety of artists. When the boys all came together they knew with there diverse styles and passions they could put there heads together and create BDE for all of there followers to submerse in.
Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
We all believe if the studio would’ve been started even sooner it’d be unimaginable how far along we’d be today.

How did you build your audience on social media?
We are steady working on a brand that not only shows our music but builds our listeners up. It’s so important to have a physical and emotional connection to your audience. We relay our goofy, fun, loving, strength on social media via our personalities. We don’t hide back from giving our fans the true sides of BDE.
