Hi Andressa, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start big picture – what are some of biggest trends you are seeing in your industry?
Social Media is always evolving and the biggest trend at the moment is creating Tik Tok videos to grow an audience. Small businesses and even big corporations have been investing their time in creating videos to reach a broader audience and keep followers engaged and interested in their products and services.
Andressa, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Andressa Hara and I am the founder, creative director at Twinkle Twinkle Little Party, a wonderful resource for anyone who loves unique party ideas and diy crafts.
I currently reside in San Antonio, Texas with my husband Brian and our three kids who have been my biggest inspirations to continue to do what I do, which is inspiring my followers to enjoy life and celebrate the everyday.
I started Twinkle Twinkle Little Party as a creative outlet when my first child was born. It started as a small party planning business that grew into partnerships/digital content creation when Instagram had just made its debut. Luckily, I was able to quickly build my brand and establish wonderful partnerships – Michaels Stores, Pottery Barn, Coca-Cola, Disney, Martha Stewart to name a few.
On Twinkle Twinkle Little Party, I share fun diy crafts, easy recipes and full party set ups anyone can give them a try at the comfort of their houses to create everlasting memories for their families.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I was able to build an online presence by being consistent with the type of content I wanted to provide. I focused on creating unique ideas and high-quality photos to fit the aesthetic of my feed so I could establish my own personal style. Collaborations with like-minded creators also helped me grow my audience organically.
Even though it seems a little more challenging to build an audience and online presence these days with the constant changes of algorithms, my advice is to stay true to yourself and create content that you are really passionate about. Comparing yourself to others and trying too hard to get likes only can definitely steal the joy of creating something beautiful that’s meaningful to you and followers.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Working with national brands I truly believe in helped me build my reputation online. My followers quickly learned if Andressa is working with a specific company, it is because she would purchase its products herself. Landing as many partnerships as I can is of course extremely important to increase TTLP’s revenue; however, I am extremely selective with the products I choose to promote. My audience will always come first and I stay in my niche at all times.
