We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Andres Ayala a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Andres, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
When people remember me or Ayala Films, I want them to remember someone that was honest, hardworking, a man of his word, but also someone that had FUN doing what they loved.
Having a video production house wasn’t always the plan. Life brought us on this path and we have loved doing it and showing people our passion for it not only thru our final product but also thru us being present in the moments that matter most

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Our business started as my wife and I, we were in another business/job (accounting and Publix). It just wasn’t for us anymore, it was taking a toll on life and what we wanted out of it. Famioy, kids and everything around us started happening quickly and we needed to find our passion!
8 years ago Ayala Films was born and even though the name was different back then (the Drude fleet Video Productions) l, our goal has stayed the same. Love what you do! And we do!
We started as a drone business with the emerging drones coming into the market but quickly realized we wanted to work on the ground and capture visions and memories for our clients.
We quickly entered the world of weddings and did very well with it. Having worked in many states around the country and all over the state of Florida, our business grew more than we ever thought possible.
In exploring other fields of film making we entered the world of commercial videography. Our mindset was help the locals get their visions across in a social media/visual world. Presently we serve many clients with their video needs on a monthly basis and have the opportunity to help business owners locally and out of state accomplish their visions thru video.
Our goal has always been the satisfaction of our clients vision! We love delivering videos, whether a wedding or a commercial, and hearing how amazing they are. Hearing how we keep getting better only ignites the fire more and makes us want to make more videos.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
When we first started, we knew that we needed to get our name out there being that we were entering an industry that was up-and-coming, and there was a lot of filmmakers out there.
We went to every networking event, every wedding show or any opportunity to meet new clients or new vendors. We did this for years and we see the impact now.
We connected Ed so many people either by working with them or for them did it laid the foundation for a referral and client business now. It is very important to us to know how our client heard of us, and sometimes the referrals come from people we met Eight years ago or clients that we worked with eight years ago
Networking and putting the time in to know the people in your industry and the clients that hire you, it’s very important to us. Yes, this is all business. But we strive to let our customer service show that we put our heart and soul into every project.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I personally think a lot of business owners can go back to the COVID year That affected everyone. Small business owners didn’t know what to do. I was one of them
We sat in our home as we were asked to do without the opportunity to go to work for our clients. The world had stopped. We had to figure out what to do. So that’s when I decided to put all ideas aside and go back to the basics. To the things we would do when we started.
i Messaged every business I could In my area that could use a video promoting them. I called restaurants and service businesses. I told them that they didn’t have to pay me anything. The deal was I would make them a one minute video and they would donate their services or food to hospitals, police and fire departments. The donations would be made in the businesses name.
The news got a hold of me and did an interview and piece on what we were doing. It was very humbling because that’s not why we did it. We just felt everybody needed to help each other. Don’t get me wrong. It was a very proud and happy moment for us and our business.
The resilience came afterwards. We were fortunate enough to keep our doors open to our business and still offer our services. People noticed. Client noticed. Thanks to this effort we were able to keep doing what we love. Bringing our clients visions and memories to life!
