Andrea , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Like many entrepreneurs, I once had a full-time job that I thought would be my lifelong career. However, my entrepreneurial spirit has always been evident in my life. I was a natural leader, rapidly advancing in various roles and adapting my skills wherever I went. In 2017, I realized that I wanted to start a business that was not only meaningful to me but aligned with my values and spiritual beliefs. And so, in 2019, I founded Kagomes Krystals, not just as a means of escaping my 9-5 but as a passion project that brought me happiness every day.

Despite working long hours in my day job and dedicating only my free time to my business, I eventually made the difficult decision to become a full-time entrepreneur in November 2020. I leverage my social media, sales, and people skills to provide high-quality gemstones and crystals to customers all over the world. What sets me apart from other online shops is my hands-on approach and commitment to exceptional customer service. I am proud to be a first-generation Mexican-American living the American Dream and not letting my circumstances hold me back. My mother, who passed away when I was only 9 years old, is always at the forefront of my mind, and I strive to make her proud through my business.

Crystals play a significant role in my daily routine and are more than just a decorative item. They offer alternative ways of healing, provide confidence through gemstone jewelry, and connect us with our spirituality. I plan to continue spreading crystal knowledge and love through my business and its mission to bring kindness to all those who come in contact with my brand. Kagomes Krystals is not just an online store, it’s a platform to share crystal knowledge and spread positivity.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

I had to overcome the limiting beliefs that I held onto, which were rooted in a victim mentality. My experience of witnessing my mother’s illness and subsequent passing at a young age left a lasting impact on me and made me feel like success was not in my cards. However, as my spiritual growth progressed, I realized the importance of changing my mindset and replacing negative thoughts with positivity.

I adopted a mindset of passion, love, motivation, dedication, and faith, which helped me believe in myself and my abilities. This shift in my mindset led to many improvements in my life, including a promotion at my day job, starting my own business, and successfully scaling it. I am continuously striving to grow and evolve, and I know that it would not have been possible without changing my mindset.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?

Social media is crucial! It not only helps you gain new customers, but it also helps to maintain your brand’s loyalty. By following your followers back and actively engaging with your audience, you can share not just your business-related content, but also personal aspects of your life. Showing a genuine interest in meeting your customers’ needs will make your brand stand out. While some businesses may strive for a corporate image, small business customers appreciate the authenticity that comes with shopping small. Don’t be afraid to showcase your personality on your website, social media, and in your packaging.
