Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Andrea Rodriguez . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Andrea , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Owning a business isn’t always glamorous and so most business owners we’ve connected with have shared that on tough days they sometimes wonder what it would have been like to have just had a regular job instead of all the responsibility of running a business. Have you ever felt that way?
I am very happy being an entrepreneur and having my own company, since I decided to open my company together with my husband, God has blessed us greatly. Being an entrepreneur is not easy, one goes through many problems, uncertainties and situations that are not always what one expected.
But every sacrifice has its reward, to begin to materialize your dreams, to be the owner of your time, to help other people with work, are things that fill my heart.
Many times not having a steady job, or working in a company that pays you a monthly fee, creates uncertainty of not knowing if in the future you are going to do well, if you are going to have to pay your monthly expenses and many more questions come to your mind, but when you do things with love and passion, and get out of the comfort zone everything aligns so that everything goes well for you.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Andrea Rodriguez executive producer known as Andreaproducer.
I was born in Bogota Colombia, since I was a child I was always influenced by my dad for cameras, photos and videos. Since I was 15 years old it was clear to me that I wanted to study something related to the audiovisual media.
At the age of 17 I started my career in Audiovisual Media with emphasis in cinema, I was living my dream and I was the happiest. In the middle of my career I started to look for places that would allow me to know and learn more about cameras, and that’s how I met an elderly man in a rental house who was in charge of repairing and organizing the cameras. Every afternoon after school I would go there and help him clean and organize the cameras, I learned about film cameras, he taught me how to set up the film and also about the digital world, and that’s how little by little I got to know more people in the audio-visual world.
At the age of 18 I started working with Fox for lationamerica where I had the opportunity to work for several years doing series and commercials, and that’s where I could start to train in the professional world, passing through various departments such as camera, production and direction. Then I started with the world of cinema which is where I wanted to get and I was part of several Colombian movies like “La mariposa” “Detective Marañon” “el Paseo” among others.
I spent several years of my life living my dream come true, until life gave me a twist and I arrived in Miami in 2015 with many uncertainties but the desire to move forward and continue doing what I loved. The first year was difficult because as any immigrant arriving to a new place where no one knows you, makes you go through difficult times but I never lost hope to return to be on a set. And that’s how after knocking on many doors, receiving many No’s, I arrived to the world of music videos, a fascinating world that began to involve me and to understand that everything can be possible.
After never giving up and with the unconditional help of my husband, who is always my right hand, I started to produce several videos for great artists such as Yandel, Maluma, J Balvin, Goyo, Gloria Trevi, Nicky Jam, Rauw Alejandro, Gilberto Santa Rosa, David Bisbal, Luis Fonsi, Future and many more.
I moved to Los Angeles where I had the opportunity to live for 2 years, produce reports and documentaries of real stories, and work in the world of social media, I began to open my spectrum as a producer in the United States.
After returning to Miami I opened my production company with my husband called “Le Producers” which to this day continues to provide production services throughout the United States for major artists, record labels, and directors.
That is how I became what I am today, always with the guidance of God, my family and my husband.
Throughout my career I have always had ups and downs, but undoubtedly the hardest was to arrive in a country where nobody knows you, they speak another language, and the monopoly of the audiovisual media is closed and you practically have to start from scratch, but I saw it as an opportunity to show me that if I could become who I wanted to be.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My mission is to show everyone that we can make a living from what we love, no matter what you do, our creative side and our heart will always lead us to accomplish what we want.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
In my life I have had to unlearn many things, but what I had to unlearn the most was trust in people, and in life in general, many times we think that those who are around you are by your side because they love you and it is not so, many are there out of interest, to see how they can get the most out of you.
I have always been a person who cares about others, who is always looking to help, but not always people or situations give you back what you give.
