We recently connected with Faschyn and William Pavon and have shared our conversation below.
Faschyn and William, appreciate you joining us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
ThreadLink was a risk, the simple idea of venturing into it as husband and wife, and amid the pandemic was a risk. However, we went for it in 2020 and transformed the global scene into an opportunity for us to shape our company. In an unusual way, we had “a lot” of time to work on it, and we took advantage of that. As we found ourselves confined to our homes, we invested our time to craft, refine, and structure our business. Most importantly on how we wanted to run our business and the clients we wanted to work with.
We identified the need for local businesses to establish a robust digital presence and for larger corporations to refine theirs in a way that preserved their essence. As we said, creativity and community are our values, and we believe are what drive business and society forward. So, we decided to place particular emphasis on assisting fellow business leaders who contribute to the well-being and growth of their community. In doing so, we’ve been able to grow our business and very impactful companies in the process.
Of course, our journey has not been without its challenges. We understand the importance of being flexible and acknowledging that not everything goes exactly as planned. The important part of it has been learning how to quickly adapt and pivot to make sure everything keeps moving forward.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
In a nutshell, William and I are life and, most recently, business partners as of 2020, when ThreadLink began.
To give you a little more context, I (Faschyn) grew up in Tennessee, surrounded by the great outdoors. It was a world of hiking trails, spending as much time outdoors as possible, and campfires. On the other hand, William grew up in Cuba, amongst the lively spirit of the Caribbean, and later on relocated to New Jersey and the fast-paced life in the proximity of New York. Eventually, fate brought us together in Clermont, Florida, where we built our home with our son and business.
In the same way that our lives came together to merge two very different worlds, we approached our business. We knew that our different upbringings and perspectives could be amazing fuel for a creative business. We both have a passion for creation, building community, and sharing stories; we wanted our business to center around that. ThreadLink has those values at its core, and we know that’s what’s gotten us this far.
ThreadLink is a Web Design and Branding Studio that merges growth and innovation with community and personalization. We wanted to create a Design Studio that allowed businesses to expand without compromising their personal story, which is what fuels every great brand. We’ve poured our hearts and souls into crafting a collaborative business that extends to how we work and communicate with our clients.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
There are many ways to grow a clientele, but these are the ones that we consider most effective, in the way that we like to do business, so we hope they help.
- Develop a genuine brand identity: Stay true to yourself and let your authenticity shine through. As the face of your brand, clients seek a personal connection and want to hear your story. Craft a brand identity that reflects your values and personality, allowing potential clients to form a meaningful bond with your business.
- Stand out from the crowd: Create a distinctive style and image that is easily recognizable. Find innovative ways to set yourself apart in the market and leave a lasting impression on your target audience. Consistency in your visual identity and messaging will help establish a strong brand presence.
- Engage actively: Foster connections with your community, both locally and digitally. Participate in community events, join relevant industry groups, and establish a robust online presence through social media platforms, blogs, and YouTube. Actively seek opportunities to engage with your audience, provide valuable content, and build relationships that go beyond mere transactions.
- Build an exceptional team: Lastly, but of foremost importance, invest in building an exceptional team. Collaboration and partnership are vital for running a successful company. When you find the right team members, prioritize their growth and development, and they will help you grow as well. By investing in your team, you will cultivate a more capable workforce and nurture loyalty and dedication. And ultimately, it makes work so much better on a daily basis when everyone feels like they can expand on their craft and are supported.
Keep in mind that while growing your clientele is undoubtedly valuable, it becomes even more rewarding when you establish long-lasting partnerships.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
The greatest resilience test we’ve faced so far has been to grow our business while my father (Faschyn’s) battled, and eventually lost his battle with cancer. He was an incredible supporter of our work, an entrepreneur, and a veteran that always had wisdom and comfort to share with us. The last year (2022) taking care of him, while balancing our roles as CEOs, parents, and partners took an extraordinary amount of effort and dedication.
Although the passing of my father last November brought immense sorrow, his spirit continues to inspire and uplift us at home and at work. We are fortunate to have a great support network of friends and family to help us through those times, and we know that this wouldn’t be possible without them. In the process, we’ve learned to rely on the support of one another and our team, while figuring out how to best handle the challenges that come with a business.
On a less personal note, as any business, we’ve faced the challenges that come with growth and scaling a team. Being able to quickly adapt and reframe has been crucial for us. We’re grateful and fortunate to work with amazing clients that trust us enough to help them expand, and we don’t take that for granted. So, when adversity hits, we keep pushing forward because we know we have a community counting on us, as well as supporting us.
