We recently connected with Andrea Moore and have shared our conversation below.
Andrea, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
Her Legacy Network launched in 2018 to support women in living out their dreams personally and professionally. Many women across the globe have dreams of doing great things, yet press pause on those desires for one reason or another, and often forfeit them because of “life.”
Her Legacy Network (HLN) is a group coaching network that inspires women to pursue their purpose through monthly workshops, community, and accountability. We connect in meaningful ways by “holding space” for one another, as we grapple to pause and consider our dreams and the challenges preventing us from obtaining them. Often, the strategically placed coaching questions and safety found within our HLN meetings foster an environment to exhale and feel safe enough to be vulnerable about the obstacles that are actually holding us back. Through these monthly meetings, we gain fresh clarity around our unique purpose here on earth. We leave one another encouraged with fresh anticipation as we realize that even within our private struggles – we are more alike than different. And a powerful bond is developed to strategically enjoy our journeys together.
Our mission is vital because many female leaders wrestle with the busyness of life, guilt, and invisible limitations such as I’m too young, too old, not smart enough, not unique enough, and don’t have enough money or time. We often feel conflicted between life’s duties and the desires and visions of others, so we press pause on our dreams hoping to return to them “later” when things slow down.
When we as women face challenges within our journey and dreams, we tend to be convinced that somehow, we must choose either solving challenges or our dreams. So we persuade ourselves that there is no way we can have both right now. We are living in a time where women need to rise above the hard. It is time to courageously walk through adversity and understand if we don’t quit, we will win. I believe that it is God’s desire for us to win together.
We all know the powerful influence a woman personally and professionally holds; according to a 2019 article in Forbes:
- Women control 80% of all consumer spending in the U.S.
- Women reinvest about 90% back into their community and families.
When women succeed, society succeeds.
Women are naturally motivated investors: investing back into our families, communities, and local businesses. But we often become convinced that we must wait on our personal dreams until “later” because of other needs (such as family responsibilities, work needs, community commitments and even health challenges.)
IF YOU ARE ONE WHO FINDS THEMSELVES PAUSING ON “YOU” and YOUR DREAMS UNTIL – LATER, consider joining us for our next monthly meeting. It is time to live, love, and leave your legacy within “life.”

Andrea, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hey there passion-infused reader, my name is Andrea Moore. I am a wife, mom, and passionate lover of Jesus and His people. I have been married for 20 years to my best friend, who I met right after college, and we are the proud parents of 3 talented teenage boys ranging from junior high to college.
For the past 27 years, I have been serving ministries locally, across the country, and internationally. Together with my husband, we serve as Lead Pastors at Summit Worship Center in Austin, TX. I am also the author of “God Took a Day Off, Why Can’t I?” This book is a guide to rejuvenation and increased productivity through the journey of learning how to rest. It’s for anyone who has ever wondered why God would take a break, and for everyone who feels like they could use one too.
In 2018 I became the Founder and CEO of a women’s leadership organization, Her Legacy Network, more fondly known by friends as HLN. This network was birthed out of an authentic zeal for empowering women to impact the world generationally in the spheres of family, church, community, and business in the midst of “life.” However, there was one common denominator I kept hearing from women in varying cultures, demographics, and ages around the world and it was how they were passionate about doing great things, but “life happened.” Detours… Busyness… Procrastination… Not feeling good enough or even ready enough… the list goes on and on as to why they placed a pause on the God given dreams stirring within them. I often say: “Greater clarity yields greater results!” And that’s why I created HLN – to help women gain clarity around all the roles they manage and juggle, while igniting the courage within them. Give me 2 hours once a month and I will help you put a strategy around the “how” that will produce great results in your life.
I hope to meet you soon.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
“Playing smaller empowers more to play” – WRONG!
I grew up being told by someone who genuinely loved me, that being “me” was not enough and that I needed to “do” something extra in order to successfully be “ME!” Until that moment, I never realized the dark complexion of my skin could stir subconscious thoughts that my actions were now required to either confirm or deny. I bought into a lie that I was not enough which introduced me to living a performance-driven lifestyle to continually prove my worth.
Through the years burnout followed. I was so t-i-r-e-d; I had settled for busyness, instead of effectiveness. The very things that used to add so much life to my soul, were the very things that were tripping me up. Allowing God to replenish me was not in my schedule, I was too busy to pause. So, I merely coasted along in cruise control, heading toward empty, barely stopping to refuel before my next race.
It was within my own desperation that I discovered the never-ending power found within a pause. When I felt weary from life and my self-driven efforts, I would ask God to show me “how” to pause and what He wanted me to “do.” So whether I stopped for 3-5 minutes to merely catch my breath and refocus or in taking a full day off, I began to experience the power of a pause.
I found that my pause was pregnant with purpose and potential. As my pause became more consistent, I realized how packed with goodness and clarity these moments are; they heal my burned-out soul, and my heart is reminded of the bold dreams stirring within me. I began to see my energy levels increase, which refreshed my perspective on being able to accomplish great things. Each morning when I wake up, I wake up with an opportunity to reset and PLAY BIG! But it is a BIG that comes from being versus doing – each pause releases an internal permission to enjoy just being me and let God complete what He began with His unique design of me.
I am passionate about living in such a way that now inspires other women to enjoy all of who God made them to be… fully alive and fully present season after season. If exhaustion and busy are your companions, I highly recommend that you read my book, God Took a Day Off, Why Can’t I? I believe it will bring you clarity in your pause.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of new clients for HLN has been what I call “the walking billboards.” I have always believed that words mean very little until they come alive by filling and transforming a heart. Her Legacy Network was launched because I care deeply about others and the unique power of the gift that is within them. Her Legacy Network grows as others hear of a dream being birthed and see a life being lived out: through courageous business development, within families, a neighborhood, in varying churches, and of course through social and print media communities.
One member recently shared how HLN’s group coaching and peer accountability offered her clarity regarding her value and worth. Shortly thereafter, she landed her dream job with an extremely competitive salary that exceeded her imagination. She never thought something like this was possible, especially with how quickly it happened.
Another member had always dreamed of using her gifts to help others but was battling heavy depression and discouragement. As she courageously continued to attend our monthly coaching sessions and receive group support, she began to see a shift mentally which yielded many changes within her family, business and beyond. She literally exclaimed: “I no longer have time to worry about certain things. Because of all the clarity I have gained through the HLN community, I have so much business coming in and now I am enjoying building my family dreams and our dream home.”
Maybe you’re a little skeptical thinking that it’s too good to be true. I invite you to join us at our next event free of charge. I believe if you carve out this space of time and allow me to coach you, I will help reactivate the potential inside of you. This is your moment, you don’t have any excuses except the ones you sit under – why not prioritize what God has put inside of you? You were destined to be great and to make history.
Thanks for inviting us along Voyage!
