Andrea, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Looking back, do you think you started your business at the right time? Do you wish you had started sooner or later
I started at the perfect time , I learned from previous jobs how to manage a bussiness. Looking back I have nothing to regret because where I am now I dreamed 5 years ago , to manage my own time .

Im Andrea Martinez Professional Makeup Artist owner of Andrea Martinez Cosmetics and Andrea Luxury Brides . I’m an immigrant in the United States of America. Im originally from Venezuela, starting from the scratch in this land of opportunities, I discover that I had a hidden talent that I discover while I was doing a makeup class in New York.
Im proud that my hard work over these years made me be self employed owner of my own business and time.
Andrea Martinez Cosmetics was born during the pandemic, now we offer lipstick, mousse self tanning products and contour sticks. I very proud of it !
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
My journey hasn’t being easy , I’m a immigrant + a single mother of a 2 year old baby. I believe if you set a goal and good habits in your life , you can become successful.
When I had my baby , I thought that if I work in a full time job I won’t have the chance to raise him and see him growing up.
I decide to make my makeup and hair business on site my only source of income. thanks to the social media and referrals from other clients my business is growing.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I think to build and engage people to your social media accounts first you have to show that you are really good in what you are doing, second invest in publicity, get a logo for your brand, use all the tools they provide to show off your knowledge, techniques, your signature and the products you are selling.
