We recently connected with Andrea Lovett and have shared our conversation below.
Andrea, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about serving the underserved.
I wish I could tell you how many thousands of sessions I have had, especially with men, of people who say they were made to feel crazy or less-than because they were able to use their spiritual gifts. It breaks my heart that so many people have been treated so poorly, mainly out of fear and control. Families didn’t know how to handle children who could speak to the dead, knew things about past lives, the world, and the people around them without learning it first. So many of my clients have told me they were taught to suppress their own intuition because of how comfortable uncomfortable it made other people. It hurt them and impacted their self-worth. This is so wrong on so many levels. Our spiritual gifts, our intuitive knowledge, is part of us. It’s our sixth sense and it’s encouraged for all of us to tap into and use.
I grew up in a family that used their spiritual gifts and intuitive knowledge for everyday life. They were farmers, bakers, and community members. Just regular people who new things, felt things, and trusted it. I was encouraged to share and trust what I received all the time from a very young age. I didn’t realize how bad it was until I started teaching people how to use their gifts and heard their heartbreaking stories. Regular, everyday people who were made to feel like something was wrong with them even though there wasn’t.
I started Sweet Release Healing to help people however I could. My business quickly became the space for those who felt like outcasts. It became the space for those who wanted to learn how to use their gifts for life on an

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I was born into a spiritual family, but we didn’t know we were spiritual. My grandmother used to say we were just a little touched by God. Everyone on my mother’s side had touches of different spiritual gifts and all of them used it in everyday life. I was taught by all of them and raised in confidence with my gifts.
As time went on, my gifts expanded and my family supported that. In my early 20s, i found myself reaching out to empaths and trying to help people understand their own intuitive knowledge and spiritual gifts. I did this just naturally and it seemed I naturally gravitated toward those who needed help or they found me. In my early 30s, Spirit told me i was going to be a psychic. I scoffed and laughed and told them there was no way I was going to do that. At the time, I didn’t know what that was going to look like and I didn’t trust myself and enough to be able to help on that scale. Towards my mid 30s, Spirit told me I was going to be a teacher at which I scoffed and laughed again. There was no way I was going to go back to school for a masters in education. Well, as it turns out, Spirit was right. People continue to gravitate toward me Who needed help and in 2017, i started actively taking clients. I noticed a trend over the next few years that the more clients I took, the more of them said they wanted to be just like me. Imagine that! They wanted to be readers and healers. They wanted to learn how to use their gifts consistently and with confidence so they could help others. What a beautiful thing!
In 2020, I fully stepped into Sweet Release Healing and started the Sweet Release Healing School for Readers and Healers to help people gain a proper education around becoming a reader/healer and building a spiritual business. I wanted to do this right because I had too many clients previously who came to me with horror stories of how they had been taken advantage of, given poor readings by, and lied to by other so-called readers and healers. The only requirement to enter my school is a session I offer called the Gift Focused Session.
In the Gift Focused Session, I teach people how to use their empathic, psychic, and mediumship side of their spiritual gifts without worry of how they come up, which we call the clairs, or comparison to anyone else. This session is truly unique in that it challenges people to use their gifts for everyday life, in a safe environment, but also shows them how their gifts work for them individually. People can use this as a one-off session, or continue to work with me, or use it to enter my school. But I have done this with the goal of setting people free. I am a firm believer that everyone should use their spiritual gifts. Everyone should be able to communicate with their Spirit Guides, Highest Self, anyone in Spirit, and receive spiritual guidance. I designed the Gift Focused Session with Spirit to help everyone connect for life on an everyday basis.
As proud as I am of my school and how I teach people how to connect with Spirit, I am even prouder of my students. So many of them have gone on to create their own spiritual businesses where they truly focus on helping people with their individual spiritual needs and goals. So many of them teach in my school and offer workshops

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I used to have an issue with people pleasing. I would ask people’s opinions far too much and change myself to suit the person I thought my clients wanted me to be. I was trying to be perfect. I was trying to be palatable. I was trying not to offend anyone. I was trying so hard to fit in a mold because I was too afraid of how my audience and clients would receive me if I was my typical New Englander self. Not a great strategy. I burnt out so fast and there were times where I considered folding. I knew I couldn’t continue to go on this way.
I would go on TikTok lives quite a bit to build my audience and to show people what I had to offer. I will never forget this day because it was the day I truly became me to my audience. Someone posted mean comments on my live about me and my clients. I don’t suffer bullies lightly. I not only responded, but I reacted just like I normally would in my everyday life. I gave them firm and healthy boundaries. I told them how their words and actions were affecting other people. I told them how inappropriate they were and then I blocked them. I swore and I got angry. My entire audience saw me angry and I was scared. But instead of ruin, they thanked me for sticking up for them, for doing what was right, and for not shrinking. They told me how much strength I gave them just from being me. From that moment on, I learned how safe I was to just me in everything I did.
I have built such a solid reputation in the spiritual community by just being myself and sticking with my convictions and ethics. People know that I can help them because although I am a challenging teacher, I am also kind and compassionate and patient. They know that I am safe and I will rise to support them as they learn.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
In my business, I pride myself on being able to teach people how to use their gifts with confidence, clarity, security, and provide them a consistent means of practice. My entire goal has been to connect people to Spirit. The more I have stayed true to that goal, the more my business has grown Not only across all my social media platforms, but also my client base. I make sure I am staying true to myself, my students, my clients, and my entire reason for being here. Every video I record and every post I create across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube stay true to that goal.
I try to convey to my clients, current and future, how much faith I have in them to be able to connect to Spirit, no matter what they’re using it for. I make it easy and attainable because it is.
This has worked far better for me than any other marketing strategy out there. I try to post consistently, but I take time off for self-care when I need it. There are days I don’t want to record videos, so I don’t. Instead, I stay true to me and true to my reasons for being here.
