We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Andrea Jackson a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Andrea, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you tell us a bit about who your hero is and the influence they’ve had on you?
My mother, Laura Bivens is my hero. I have been watching her all of my life. Her resilience always encourages me. I’ve witnessed first hand how she has handled difficulties with grace and always seemed to turn situations around… even when they weren’t the most favorable. I’ve seen her love unconditionally, stand with those she loves, counsel many and stand for what she believes is right.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
Managing people can be difficult but it’s rewarding. For me, I’ve found that most people respond well to positive feedback, demonstration and constructive criticism.
1. Be sure to communicate the goal and mission for the team. Also the overall vision.
2. Be willing to demonstrate not demand. When your team knows that you are rolling up your sleeves along side them, they are more willing to engage and work the vision.
3. Be vested in the people. You never know what people are dealing with outside of the work team. This is why it’s important to have a vested interest in the people on your team. Not to be personal but to improve proficiency.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of new clients for me has been client based referrals and return clients.
