Andrea, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Going back to the beginning – how did you come up with the idea in the first place?

I was an avid reader growing up, generally never going anywhere without a book! I also have a very vivid imagination, so oftentimes, my brain goes on autopilot, and begins playing a story like a movie. These moments tend to hit me after prayer time, when I’m falling asleep in bed. I thoroughly enjoy this nighttime ritual, and have been doing this since I was super young. When I was a pre-teen, I had a strong desire to make a movie based off of my stories. Since I didn’t own a film production company at twelve-years-old, I decided to write a book. Then another, then another, then another….I always have to be working on multiple creative projects at once. One doesn’t prosper without the other, even if they have nothing to do with one another. That might include writing two books at once, or working on a book while I’m also working on a music project.

Now I’ve finally produced this full cast, cinematic styled audiobook, and feel as though the dream of bringing my stories to life have officially come to fruition. I truly believe that God’s great plan for my life is coming together at this very moment!

I think a great way to get to know more about me would be through sharing my biography:

Andrea Hintz is a Christian first, fiction author, screenwriter, songwriter, video game writer, blogger, website designer, and audio engineer. Her goal is to create adventure through several avenues of art. Andrea began college at the age of thirteen and graduated at seventeen with a Bachelor’s degree. Her favorite projects at the moment include working on reading through the entire Bible, her books in the Perception and Deception series, her books in The Tesoro Series, her screenplay projects, her music, and her blog called, Interviews With Professionals! where she interviews and showcases other professionals in any artistic industry. We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

I’ve been pursuing these dreams for years, and the number one, most important piece of advice I can give is to pray and trust in God’s plan. As long as you’re putting God first above everything else (including your dreams) He will handle the rest. My greatest times of success have always happened when I’ve set my dreams aside and devoted my time to worshipping and studying the Word of God – enjoying that loving relationship. Honestly. Now, that’s not the reason you should be doing so, but God will suddenly start bringing “favor connections” your way (i.e. people who suddenly pop into your life and can tell you how to be successful). Again, I want to stress that achieving personal gain is not the reason you should be spending time with God. I mean, how does that make us feel if someone is spending time with us just to get something? If that is a person’s motive, then they gain nothing and they’re not showing true love and respect to God.

Your main goal and dream in life should be to pursue Jesus and always foster your relationship with Him. Everything else falls into place after that as His loving gift to you.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

I’ll answer this question by sharing the advice I give when talking about working in the entertainment industry, because sometimes you just need to hear this from someone else. Glorify God in all that you do. Don’t fall into the traps of sacrificing your values to appeal to the masses, because you never have to. Find the audience who will appreciate your work as it is, then take their feedback to heart. As an author, enjoy the reverent relationship between author and character. Not many people get to experience that. You’re unique and get to live whole extra lives during your time here on earth. As a musician, you have a powerful platform that allows you to pour into peoples’ deepest emotions and souls. Use it wisely. Enjoy these things and thank God for them every single day. He chose you to express these gifts.
