Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Andrea Ball, Event Strategist of Ball Corporate Events. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Andrea, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Looking back, what’s an important lesson you learned at a prior job
The most important thing I’ve learned at work is efficiency. Not just doing something, doing it correctly in the best way possible. I’ve worked in dialysis for many years. The job is repetitious. It has taught me to be very intentional about reviewing processes and looking for opportunities to improve.
Along with being repetitious, dialysis is a high anxiety job. You deal with various things happening at once. You may be dealing with 3 patients, machine trouble, phone calls and assisting a doctor or social worker all at the same time. I had to look for ways to prepare for the time when things would get busy. When you prepare and have your systems, it reduces anxiety. I implement the same strategies in my business. I know during event promotion, my schedule gets full. I schedule as much as possible before the promotion begins.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I’m Andrea Ball of Ball Corporate Events. I specialize in corporate events. I help plan, execute, market & manage events. BCE also host events as well.
I became interested in events in high school. I started going to and hosting parties and I fell in love with it. I loved making memories and creating experiences with people. Once I figured out how to earn profit from it, it was over.
I’m most proud of my confidence. The way that I believe in myself and bet on myself time and time again. It’s never a question of if something will work only how to make it work.
I want potential clients to know that by not doing events, they are leaving money on the table. Whether it’s a product or service, there is an event that can take it to the next level. By implementing the right strategy and shifting your perspective, you can take your business to the next level.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
First off, I made the decision to be intentional with my social media. I wasn’t just going to post. I planned to post with a purpose. I used the tools available. Facebook is my jam. I joined groups, found people and connected with them. When I would go out, I would ask to follow or add someone to my social media. I responded to pictures and comments. I was vulnerable and transparent. More than anything, I was authentic. People want to see you. The real you. Yours ups, downs and struggles and win. Let them in.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I’m a person of value. Anytime I’m in the room I’m supporting, encouraging or assisting. My favorite line at a networking event is “how can I support you?”. I enjoy being a team player and seeing other people win. I’m confident in my own capabilities so I’m never hesitant to help someone else succeed.
