We recently connected with Andrea and Christa Sullivan and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Andrea and Christa , thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear how you think where to draw the line in terms of asking friends and family to support your business – what’s okay and what’s over the line?
Friends and family have played such an instrumental part in the success of Sully Good Eats Inc. There have been multiple events that wouldn’t have been as successful without the support, input, and influence of our friends and family. We always take the time to stop and look back to tell our friends thank you every chance we get. We truly value the time they have put in to help our business. We not only thank them for physically showing up and supporting but its also the act of giving up their free time to support/promote our business. They have more than shown us they believe in our dream and that is one of the things that keep us motivated! We love and appreciate the Sully Good Eats family! We ensure we draw the line at making them feel they are not obligated to help with anything. As well as make sure they understand that they have their own lives and dreams they have to focus on too.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Sully Good Eats is a family owned catering business. We started in May of 2019 and then BOOM! COVID. Our catering dreams were put on hold for 2 years due to the pandemic but we are quickly bouncing back. We have hustled like nobody’s business to gain clientele and put our name out there. We are super excited to support our community and build lasting relationships with our customers. Sully Good Eats specializes in satisfying our customers through fresh flavors, creativity, and of course good food. Don’t like meat? No Problem! Sully good eats also specializes in delicious and flavorful vegan dishes as well.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Our number 1 effective way was networking. Networking can be a great tool when you align yourself with like minded entrepreneurs. My first networking event was on the MEVA bus with the owner, Lucits. Going to her networking events was the motivation I needed at that time. Her mentorship, friendship and etc. has been one of the most helpful boost any new entrepreneur could ask for. Attending other networking events since hers have also helped as well with learning new information, receiving suggestions, and building partnerships. I would suggest to any new and seasoned entrepreneurs to leverage going to networking events as much as you can. Also keep in mind, sometimes building relationships, partnerships, and bouncing ideas with others is okay. Remember its okay to have others in your corner, you cant do it alone!

How’d you meet your business partner?
Chrissy and myself met while serving in the Military(Army). We were both in school for our chosen MOS in Augusta, GA. Chrissy had actually gotten there a few weeks before me and got me in all types of trouble, LOL. Chrissy took me into her group of battle buddies and we have been partners in crime ever since.
