Alright, Andre thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
Our mission first and foremost is always guest relations and especially customer satisfaction. That comes from the top down. Because of my unwavering drive, a passion for what I do, and an attention to detail. We’re never worried about the competition, which alleviates a lot of overthinking, because to me there is no competition because no one can or would do what we do. And that comes from the heart. When a customer says ‘I forgot how good it feels when things are done right!” That’s the pay off. That’s when the mission is achieved.
It’s not only striving for success, it’s achieving success, and if you do that you win every time, in every scenario.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am an intuitive visionary, entrepreneur, and also a leader in the hospitality staffing and recruitment sectors with offices in Miami and New York. I had a knack for starting up businesses and making them successful, so after my main company was where I believed it should be I launched something completely different with Majestic Dental & Whitening (www.majesticdental.com.co) A spa dental clinic with locations in USA and Colombia Medellin. Now selling franchises all over south America and USA. For me, there’s always something else around the corner, but that doesn’t mean I’ll leave behind what I already started. Those businesses will continue to grow while new ones come along. I must say I don’t feel like I’ve ever reinvented the wheel, I just find a wheel that needs turning and then make sure it works.
I am also curious by nature. After years of working in every facet of the hospitality industry, I realized that what was frequently missing in the hospitality staffing industry was a particular standard of service that was exceptional and extraordinary.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I cannot tell you how many times I was complete broke, but I never lost tenacity and a desire to succeed. In the first years of Epic Staffing Agency (www.epicstaffingagency.com) , I had companies offering me jobs where I could have just been secure and gotten a full-time job and said to hell with entrepreneurship. But I said no to all of them, I believed in me and, honestly, I am a little bit crazy. You got to be a little crazy to want to start businesses and keep them growing. I kept pushing through. I started to call my contacts – and all them became somewhat a type of income, by either consulting or providing them my services. Contacts are the most important thing you can have and that’s why you keep your reputation intact with them– because of my endless desire and fire to succeed. I had never done anything like that. But I did it and I learned from it, especially my mistakes. By the fifth year, Epic Staffing Agency was completely solvent and was self-sustainable.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Ethics are really important to me. I believe that trust is more important than anything and hard work follows that. I don’t oversell to anyone. I tell them who I am and what I can do.
And I make sure that anyone who works for me has the same sensibility. I do know that no one is perfect and sometimes things can slip through the cracks, but what I can guarantee is that the best interest of the client is also the most important. And they also should know that I am personally responsible for their account. They don’t’ have to go through two or three layers to get to me. I am always available.
I also don’t believe it’s my company that needs to look good. When we work with a client, it’s their company that should shine.
