Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Andre Collins. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Andre, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?

I connected with music on a personal level where I felt as if that was the best way people can get to know me. I express myself the best way possible through music.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I go by the name Josiahxandre I grew up on the Eastside of Los Angeles, not East LA. I make what I feel I don’t think you can really put a ceiling on my music because nothing sounds the same. I will say I do tend to make hype energetic records. I love moshpits I love to be in them and I love to see it when I perform. A main reason light should be set on my name is because I’m really in it for the love and not the money or fame that comes with it I really just want to be able to make a comfortable living off what I love to do.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?

What’s been taught must be teach. I believe bigger artist should help out the upcoming more and show them the way on how to go about things and situations.
Whether it’s financial, mentally, or musically.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.

Non creatives should understand underground creatives as far as the journey and obstacles we actually have to go through to get to where we want to be.
We don’t really get all the support we don’t get the backing promotion and co signs from bigger people all the time. Also everything may come out of pocket when we are creative. Everything is independent, and I say all this because non creatives are usually negative because our product don’t usually match the celebrity product and the artist they look up to.
