Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Andre Carriere. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Andre, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Dracarrj is a Clothing supply brand established by Jahvaun and Andre Carriere, two twins with the goal of having a clothing brand that represents our slogan Family, Loyalty, Ambition. The word Dracarrj (Druh-Car-Jah) was created after countless times trying finding the right earthly word to represent our brand became unsuccessful. Dracarrj is a combination of our names. Dra for Dre, Carr for Carriere and J for Jahvaun. The slogan came from Jahvaun, one day he decided to get a tattoo over his heart with a skull and underneath a 3 ribbon of words spelling “Family, Loyalty, Ambition”, something he felt really strongly about through his life. Tragically Jahvaun Carriere passed away September 27, 2014, two weeks after he put in the trademark information for the brand. His death sparked a motivation and drive in me to work harder than ever for us both, to finish the job we started and to keep his legacy alive forever. Dracarrj is more than just an average clothing brand, it’s a legacy.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I got into this industry mainly because of my passion for the clothing brand my brother Jahvaun and I created together. I decided to go to school and take up jobs as a screen printer for about 3-4 years to learn the ins and outs of the silkscreen/DTG industry.
I do more than just clothing for my personal brand, i also provide DTG printing services to clients that have company’s. Most of my clients own roofing, landscaping & even other clothing brands! I love to work with as many company’s and individuals as I can so if you are looking to start a brand or even work for a company and you want to suggest to your boss about new uniform id love to help!
what sets me apart from other company’s is that I truly get things done fast and efficient , under promise over delivering is what I love to do!
Im proud of myself for making it this far through life without my brother here physically and the brand he left with me to take care of and make huge to inspire others.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
My best source of clients are people i encounter in life, when i’m able to talk to them about my story and hear theres as well something magical happens more than an online encounter. Pop up events are the perfect source for that!
Can you talk to us about manufacturing? How’d you figure it all out? We’d love to hear the story.
Yes I print all of my clothing products myself! At first i had no clue what to do, what equipment id have to get & the cost of the investment i was about to part take in lol. But when you want to learn something and have a passion for it you’ll start to meet people that can give you great advice and help you along the way. I did have to find a vendor in the very beginning but he also guided me to the direction i needed to go. He said go work at a shop, learn design and buy a used screen printer online and i did. One lesson i’ve learned about manufacturing products is that you shouldn’t make a ton of stuff at first, test the market out at a pop up with about 2-3 per size and see how it goes, don’t wanna be stuck with products.
