It has been Very important and helpful for me to spend a great deal of time drawing the figure and painting observationally to understand how to make a successful painting.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I have been drawn to making paintings since I was a child. There is something about the process that has always fascinated me.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
A very difficult part of being a financially successful painter is to work as hard as any other successful profession, whether you are a builder, doctor or restaurant owner. An artist is essentially a self employed business person. You have to get your work in front of people and you have try and sell them at an entry level price.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My goal with each new piece is to try and make what I consider to be a better painting than the last one…
