Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Anastasia Ferousis. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Anastasia, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
After I visited a beautiful beach in Florida, the perfect name for my business came to mind. My love for the ocean and gardens merged into one inspiring moment. The serene beach and lush greenery sparked the ideal name for my business, capturing the essence of both my passions blended together .

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Anastasia the owner of The Seacret Garden Cafe. My love for baking has been with me since I was a child, I used to bake with my mother then took over for family holiday’s and celebration’s. Following my culinary arts education, I found my true calling in pastry arts. In 2022, I decided to establish my own business from my state-registered home based kitchen. While I’m restricted in the items I can prepare, I’m grateful to be able to offer Custom Cakes, Cupcakes, Pies, Cookies, French Macarons, Breads, Greek Specialty Desserts and Dessert Tables. My aim is to go above and beyond for my clients, tailoring solutions to meet their specific needs. The most fulfilling moments for me come when I see the delight on my clients’ faces upon seeing their custom creations, allowing me to be a small part of their special celebration.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I wouldn’t say there was just one illustration of my resilience as I am striving everyday to keep up with social media, to stay relevant and promote my business. But by consistently engaging with my target audience on social media I can build my brand and encourage customer sales. With every order I am inspired to succeed to bigger and better things.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?
Financing my business was difficult, as it all came out of my own pocket. I’ve expanded my inventory gradually, reinvesting most, if not all, of the profits from each order to acquire the necessary equipment and tools for baking and decorating along with boxes and business cards. My goal is to eventually open my own storefront, allowing for a wider range of creations and a larger inventory readily available to customers, rather than just custom orders.
