Anastasia, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Looking back, do you think you started your business at the right time? Do you wish you had started sooner or later
I believe I started my own business at the ideal time after I had worked for various employers for more than 12 years and acquired valuable knowledge and experience in marketing. It would undoubtedly be challenging for me to offer my clients proper recommendations and suggestions as the founder of a digital marketing agency without enough marketing experience.
Additionally, working for an employee before going out on my own helped me identify my strengths and, most importantly, my weaknesses, understand what part of work I’m best at and when I need to call for a different person.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m a professional Wix website designer and a co-founder of Effective Marketing & Design. With more than 16 years of experience and an MBA degree in marketing from Florida, I am proud to identify myself as a marketing expert. My business began by offering Wix website design services only, but it has since grown into a full-service marketing agency. That growth occurred naturally because creating a functional website necessitates not only an understanding of design but also of marketing concepts, consumer behavior, branding, and the latest trends.
Effective Marketing & Design is a reputable website design business located in Miami. We have collaborated with many start-ups and growing businesses both in Florida and throughout the world. Our logo design, digital marketing, and website design services have been used by a variety of businesses, including restaurants, event planners, doctors, lawyers, and accountants.
Because we understand how crucial it is for your business to get off to the right start, we provide all necessary marketing services to start-ups and new businesses. Around 90 percent of our website design projects are “turnkey,” which means they are created from scratch and include all necessary content. We offer advice to our clients on their website, digital marketing approach, as well as a branding strategy.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
First and foremost, every client of ours receives the same fanatical levels of service and quantifiable outcomes. Every project I’ve worked on since I began creating websites has been something I was extremely passionate about. My clients had the impression that I had always been genuinely interested in their company and genuinely wanted to see them succeed. I believe it is something that is quite difficult to fake.
Additionally, I am aware of how critical it is to provide our new leads with access to client testimonials. They are curious about what people are saying about our company. They essentially want to be fully aware of what they will get should they choose to work with us. Because of this, I’ve started gathering customer reviews of the work I did initially from day one. When potential customers research your company, they look at reviews. People want to choose a reputable business right away because they don’t want to waste time or money. They’ll read what other individuals are saying about your company and form opinions based on those people’s experiences.
Finally, I always emphasize my commitment to ensuring my clients’ satisfaction. Negative feedback can cause you to lose leads, but more often than not, you lose leads because you ignore the criticism. When my client doesn’t express satisfaction in our private communications, I always check to see if there is anything we can do to make things right before the project is complete.

What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
Initially, building websites was more of a hobby than a side job. At the time, I was an MBA student at Nova Southeastern University, and I wanted to start my own business. I gradually began taking online courses in the fundamentals of graphic and website design because I’ve always been interested in that area.
Then there was my friend who launched her own company and required a website. One day, as we were just kind of chatting about it, I revealed to her that I had been experimenting with learning web design. I offered to assist her, and we decided to exchange our services for hers.
She was, therefore, my client, and we are still in contact today! Because we’ve been working together for so long and how far design has evolved, it’s really cool to think that I’m actually redesigning a website for her for a completely different company.
A short while later, she recommended me to her friends. I created ten websites for family and friends over the course of several months. I had already graduated by then and was prepared to begin turning my new hobby into a career and profession. They had me listed as an expert on Wix Marketplace so that other users could find me since I was building all of my websites on the Wix platform.
I did not stop there; in fact, I became unstoppable because of my extensive marketing experience. Using my prior expertise in online marketing, search engine optimization, and digital advertising, I began providing more services.
