We were lucky to catch up with Anandya Alfiean recently and have shared our conversation below.

Anandya, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Earning a full time living from one’s creative career can be incredibly difficult. Have you been able to do so and if so, can you share some of the key parts of your journey and any important advice or lessons that might help creatives who haven’t been able to yet?

Absolutely – Yes, I earn a full-time living from my creative work. I started my full-time creative work services when I was in 2nd grade high school. When I graduate from high school, I don’t immediately go to college, I’m more focused on expanding my knowledge, my skills on my services. My major step is, I got a really really big client from one company, and it’s really expanding both my skills and my Portfolio. And currently, I’m living my best life while working remotely, and earning much much more! So one of my milestones has finally been achieved!

Yes, I think I could sped up the process if I had my current knowledge in the past, and by that, I realize that I’ve learned so much from my journey. And I’m proud of it!

My name is Anandya Alfiean from Indonesia, and I’m a Content Creator and Video Editor. I’m starting my creative service in 2021. I’m really in love with the creative industry since I was a kid, I started making content when I was 11 years old. I grew up with facilities that my mom provided me to make content, without her I don’t think I could be this passionate about this industry today! 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗺𝘆 𝗴𝗶𝗿𝗹𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗸𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘄, 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝘆 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲, 𝗛𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗥𝗼𝗿𝗼 𝗭𝗮𝗵𝗿𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗮 𝗛𝗮𝗾.

I provide services such as: Creating Content and video Editing mostly for Content Creator. I sometimes open a commission for Designing and 3D modeling. I can make really interesting content for my clients that hook up the viewers with Motion Graphics, Subtitles, SFX, VFX, etc. I’m really flexible when working, and I can work both alone and in a team! I understand the market of viewers in 2023, so I’m proud that I think it sets me apart from others.

I’m really proud of my work, and I’m proud to say that I can fit in many workflows, and I prioritize understanding my client’s unique needs and preferences.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

I think, having a consistent workflow, reaching out to people who have a connection, learning a new style of editing, and having an approachable personality is helping me to build a good reputation in my market among other content creator.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The process of creating art is a learning process that continues for your entire career and life. Witnessing your growth as an artist is one of the most rewarding parts of being an artist.
