We were lucky to catch up with Analauren Garcia & Rayda Urra recently and have shared our conversation below.

Analauren Garcia & Rayda Urra, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Who is your hero and why? What lessons have you learned from them and how have they influenced your journey?

My hero is my remarkable mother, Rayda. I admire her perseverance and dedication; she is a source of inspiration to me. If it weren’t for her relentless tenacity, we wouldn’t be where we are today with our company. Also, it is thanks to her that I have been able to become the daughter, mother, wife, and women that I am today.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Easy Basic Creations first started as a mom on a mission to create her first-born’s year a holiday success and turned into a vibrant and thriving mother-daughter duo.

The one that really motivated me to create Easy Basic Creations was my lovely and amazing mother Rayda. I’ve always been a crafty person and love to work with my hands. However, it wasn’t until I had my son Logan that this idea started to form in my mother’s head. She saw how I hand crafted every little detail that I need to make Logan’s first year memorable because I had this crazy new mom concept in my head of how I wanted everything to look but could not find anything! From the monthly milestones, holiday events, nursery décor, first birthday; well, you get the gist of it, friends and family were impressed with everything I created. That’s when my mom said, “You know we can really make something out of this” and the rest is history.

Now, Easy Basic Creations has become a way of supporting our family, having a creative outlet, and teaching my son that with hard work and faith anything is possible!

Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.

We started our company over a kitchen counter-top, fueled by a few complaints and many shared ideas. The main question that came to our minds was, “Wouldn’t it be great if we could make some extra money and built something great together?” And so, it began. What to sell? Who to sell to? How to sell? How to come up with the money? And slowly but surely, through hard work and determination, we were able to create the business we had envisioned.

In the beginning, it was challenging because we both had full-time jobs. So, we had to make all the orders at night after a full day of work. There were many late nights during our first few months of business, but we persevered.

We’ve come a long way since the first year. Our company has grown and evolved in a way that we never imagined. We can say that at first, we struggled with many obstacles and encountered many setbacks along the way, but we’re grateful for everything that’s helped us grow as a company. But one of the most important key milestones that defined us as company was our determination and faith to always push forward towards our goals.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?

We feel that our customers’ satisfaction is our highest priority for growing our clientele. We try to give each customer the finest products, using the best quality materials we can find. This helps us provide competitive prices for our products. We understand that baby’s first moments are extremely important to parents and want to help them make those moments even more memorable.
