We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Anabell Villanueva a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Anabell , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Setting up an independent practice is a daunting endeavor. Can you talk to us about what it was like for you – what were some of the main steps, challenges, etc.
I started my professional firm back in 2018 as a hobby when I was pursuing being promoted in the corporate ladder. I was passionate about conscious leadership and social impact, so I started an Instagram account called Newbossmind, promoting a new mindset for leaders, then I wrote a book to teach young people how to build a successful career on the corporate ladder, called “Sonrie cuando lleves el café” (available in Amazon), and in the meantime, I advise smalls entrepreneurs regarding social strategies to capitalize business and visibility. After my mom passed away, I felt that I needed a reset, so I move to Miami and took time to pause and reflect on the way I lead myself and the real meaning of life. I had one Aha Moment that change my life and made me reconnect with my purpose in a deeper way, which led me to start researching about intuition and how that help people to become a more productive conscious leader. From that moment until now I coach women to improve their confidence and leadership inside corporations by knowing and respecting what they are and as a result becoming more aware, balanced, and productive
I would like to share with you my best 3 tips so you can also start your own firm by pursuing your purpose:
Be clear about your vision: you will never know how things will happen, but you can create a vision about yourself by doing inner work and practicing self-knowledge to discover the things that really make you happy, your passions, and talents, and by leading yourself better to gain the confidence about your vision and potential.
Invest in the knowledge of how to monetize your talents: once you discover your talents by knowing yourself better and gaining confidence in your potential, you need to invest in yourself and in your vision. In my case, the greatest results that I got in my business was when I become part of a group of minds that think alike and are already living the life that I wanted to create.
Keep doing inner work: finally, when you are investing in yourself you notice that the more you know yourself and work on your own traumas, limiting belief and confidence, the more you grow and become successful doing what you love.
If you are a professional woman and you are ready to invest in yourself to discover your own potential, we could discuss it any time!
Anabell , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am an activator for professional ambitious women to connect with their own power, confidence, and balance.
I specialized in working with women that are team leaders and work in fields such as Human Resources and International Development in a highly competitive environment.
Personally, I was Born in Venezuela, and I consider myself a proud Latina and a Change Maker.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Consistency, consistency, and consistency. To create your own reputation you need to first believe in yourself and then act in consequence. Great results are the product of repetition by being stubborn with your vision and sticking to your values and own worth.
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
The most important thing to be successful in any field is to cultivate a mindset of abundance to maintain yourself open to infinite possibilities. It is common that the main cause that blocks people from their maximum potential is a closed mind.
