Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ana Yulissa Ocasio. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Ana Yulissa, thanks for joining us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?

Success doesn’t grow over night. I am a photographer who is constantly working to better myself and offer the best memories to my clients. I am always looking for new opportunities and growth.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I am a mother of two, married to the thin blue line. I was born and raised in Honduras along with my 8 siblings. I started practicing photography when I was a teenager as a hobby at my brothers soccer games. But I didn’t fall in love with it then, it took me to gain the title of mother to fall in love with capturing the most precious memories. I am very flexible with my schedule which allows me to change scheduled photoshoots in case of an emergency. Also, I love to make my client visions come to life and help create a unique style to fit their desired goals for their photoshoot. I am proud of how much I have improved in my creativity and editing. I am currently creating reels and different edits, along with a website and a studio to eventually take this career into my full time job, or should I say that “if I do what I love the most, I will never work a day in my life!”

Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?

Thank God I have a strong support system where little by little I have gotten most of the equipment needed. Every Christmas or Birthday gift has been photography related. I currently have a full time job that allows me to pay my bills and set money aside for photography.

How did you build your audience on social media?

Social media audience has been my biggest struggle, I am still trying to figure out the algorithm and how one day I have followers and views and other days I have 0 interaction. One thing I do knoe is that providing the best customer service and constantly doing collaborations has paid off. Word of mouth is what has made me who I am today. I am so grateful for all my followers and clients who mention me or tag me on my work. Thank you so much!
