We were lucky to catch up with Ana Reyes recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Ana, thanks for joining us today. So, let’s start with a hypothetical – what would you change about the educational system?
If I was to change anything about our current education system would be for Young Humans to receive information around Financial Literacy, Emotional Intelligence and how to Build a Mindset for success. We are expected to pay taxes, yet no one gives us a crash course of the basics on how to deal with this Institution that affects everyone whether employed or owning a business. Another thing no one ever teaches us; the importance of credit and how good credit and bad credit can make a difference when we go to make major purchases like a car or a home or even taking out business loans. I would love to see children being taught about the power of their thoughts and how with proper training and focus, they can create the life they truly desire.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I got into the industry of Life Coaching and Personal Development because I had a time in my life in which I became tired of making all the wrong decisions, that we were bringing me a lot of pain. At the age of 31 I decided it was time to start doing things differently, so around that time I read a lot of books and listened to many YouTube motivational speeches. As I kept learning, I kept applying and 9 years later I can say that Life is pretty Good around here. Many of my clients come to me because they suffer from depression, anxiety, lack problem-solving skills, emotionally overwhelmed, and with an overall sense of unhappy with their lives. I have written two books on self-mastery that can be found on Amazon, and I also offer a 6-week mentorship in which we dive into what the individual needs, the 6 weeks are tailored to the clients’ specific needs which we establish on our initial call. I really like helping others, so I create affordable product and services, because the people who really need it area already overwhelmed by life, and I simply don’t want to overwhelm them with a high-ticket price. I am most proud of How I have overcome my own self sabotaging behavior to allow myself to experience the good; life has to offer.
I want everyone to know that we are all here to grow and develop into the best version of the self that we can create, within that growth there will be pain, trial and tribulations but as we master our life lessons those trials and tribulations become the foundation for the development of a New Life, Full of better healthier experiences, but the work has to be done, if the work is not intentional there won’t be any change and life will seem dull and painful. You all deserve to live a life of peace and abundance mentally, emotionally, physically and financially. But there is a way we must go through life to experience those things. My ultimate goal is to help as many people as I can, create the life they want to live, no matter how big or how small, whatever you want, you can have, first; lets figure out what action steps you need to take to make it all happen.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
About 6 years ago I moved to Atlanta, Ga from NYC to start a new relationship and lord behold it only lasted 3 days. low. I can laugh about it now, but then I was devastated. I had left everything back in NYC looking for a new start and so I did just not how I expected it. The situation at my mother’s house was bad, there were too many of us in a 1-bedroom apartment and tensions were high, so a decided to leave because a did not want to live in NYC at all. I left my entire family, including my daughters and it was painful but is what I had to do to create the life I have now. Even though I had no Car, I walked everywhere, and you know coming from NYC that is what we do but walking in Lawrenceville Ga is not fun. There was not a night I did not cry, my mother did not know, no one knew what I was experiencing. I was working petty jobs to generate money because I again that what I had to do. I refused to go back to NYC, being somewhat homeless was better than me going back, that how bad it was over there, I’d rather stay here struggling until I struggled no more and so I did. I’ve gone from walking everywhere, to driving some of the most beat up cars to now, my Maserati Ghibli. I did all of it because I refused to stop, I refused to give up and I’ve refused to Fold. We live, we have to be strong, and we will overcome.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
I love reading books, which is why I wrote two of them myself. But as mentioned earlier I have read many books on mindset, and personal development. Some of my favorites are The Science of being Great, the science of getting Rich, As a man Thinketh, The Four agreements, The anatomy of the spirit, Frequency and so many more. I have been greatly influenced by Les Brown, Tony Robbins, Eric Thomas, Bruce Lipton, Joe Dispenza, and many others
