Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ana Reisdorf. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Ana, thanks for joining us today. So, let’s start with trends – what are some of the largest or more impactful trends you are seeing in the industry?
The biggest trend in our industry and maybe all industries, is the rise of AI. AI is increasingly being used for content personalization and SEO optimization in all sectors but provides unique challenges in health and wellness.
AI allows for better targeting, personalization, and content relevance, which can drive engagement and sales for health professionals and marketers. In the future, it will also help providers provide more accurate and higher quality care in a shorter amount of time.
There are some concerns. AI cannot replace human judgment or reasoning at this time. It also lies with authority. So recommending health products or treatments responsibly remains a challenge.
Additionally, privacy is a big concern in health. So, there will need to be some more thought around handling of personal health data.
We are using AI with caution to help increase productivity and provide valuable insights into our market. While we do not use it to write content for our clients, we do use it to write marketing emails or other content to save time.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a registered dietitian turned content marketer. I am the founder of RWS: Content + Strategy a marketing agency for health and wellness brands. I started freelance writing as a side hustle about 12 years ago and the demand for content produced by experts exploded. I now have a team of 8 registered dietitians who work with me in my marketing agency. My team of registered dietitians works with our clients to create evidence-based SEO strategies and content to help increase authority and trust. I also teach other registered dietitians how to become freelance writers.
Does your business have multiple or supplementary revenue streams (like a ATM machine at a barbershop, etc)?
Yes, my business has multiple revenue streams. Not only do I make money off of creating incredible evidence-based content for health and wellness brands, I also have created multiple digital products and a course to help teach other registered dietitians to do the same. I also have affiliate partnerships with other online dietitians who have complementary products.
How did you build your audience on social media?
A Facebook group has been my bread and butter for a long time. The group allows me to not only find the best writers for my team, but also is my audience for my affiliate sales and products. It allows me to grow a community and support other registered dietitians, so we can all grow in our profession.
I would highly recommend starting a Facebook group. People still do use them to connect with others who have similar interests.
