We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Ana Ochoa. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Ana below.
Ana, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
A legacy of respect, originality, and change is what I aspire to create and leave behind. My intention is to contribute to both the current and future generations, even if it’s just a minor shift. I want to help bring about some form of change in the world. I firmly believe that even minor adjustments can lead to significant impact, as a single pebble can trigger a landslide.
My desire is not necessarily for fame, but rather to utilize my efforts and work to benefit others in a positive manner. Whether through leveraging social media, designing logos, rebranding organizations, or curating mood boards with meticulous attention, I aim to produce work that fills me with pride as a graphic designer. My ultimate goal is to leave a legacy marked by tranquility, contentment, and hope. I want people to recognize the value of their own voices and understand that their messages are worthy of being shared and heard.
When I am remembered by my loved ones, acquaintances, and clients, I hope to be recognized as someone who diligently worked, exuded positivity, and stood up for her convictions. In addition to the efforts I have exerted and the minor changes I have made, I want to be remembered for the comfort, humor, and unique qualities I brought to the world.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am Ana Ochoa, a Junior Graphic Designer. The reason I chose to pursue Graphic Design as a career is because it combines two passions of mine: psychology and creativity.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in Emerging Media, with a minor in Psychology, and I have also obtained a combined certificate in Web and Graphic Design. Currently, I am actively seeking full-time job opportunities, with my ultimate goal being to establish my own design studio.
Operating under the brand “The Authentic Ana,” I offer a range of freelance services including logo design, web design, complete rebranding, social media presence, and marketing materials. It’s important for potential clients to know that my brand and work embody a love for expression and experimentation with vibrant colors. I approach projects with a simplistic yet colorful style, always eager to take on new challenges. My work ethic is characterized by an open-mindedness, determination, and unwavering commitment to completing tasks successfully.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being creative for me lies in seeing the final product. It is a testament to my hard work, dedication, and the emotional investment I have poured into my work. When I find myself asking, “Did I truly create this?” and the answer is “Yes,” I experience one of those head-in-the-cloud moments that makes me proud of what I do.
The process of thinking creatively and generating multiple solutions to a problem captivates me and fills me with delight to identify as a creative individual.
I am also passionate about working on different aspects of a project simultaneously. For instance, imagine a scenario where a company requires a comprehensive rebrand encompassing elements such as color schemes, logo design, web design, and social media presence. This excites me because I love seeing how the small pieces harmonize to form a larger, more captivating picture.
