We were lucky to catch up with Ana Hernandez recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Ana, thanks for joining us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
The biggest risk is not taking any risk. I read that when I was debating whether I should quit my job at an agency where I was only helping someone else become more successful or take a leap of faith and start my own business. Like most people, I am scared of failure. All I could think about was all the things that could go wrong instead of thinking about all the opportunities it could bring me. Prior to my current business, I had zero knowledge of how to run a business. Every day I was going to a regular 9 to 5 job where most of the time my work or accomplishments were not recognized. I would always go the extra mile trying to prove myself to my boss so he would allow me to move up but that didn’t happen. Don’t get me wrong, I am so thankful for my previous job because it thought me so many valuable things I now implement in my business. I was also able to create great professional relationships with many people, because of the passion I would put into the work for their company they would often encourage me to leave my job and start my own business. So after a lot of courage, I decided to quit my job two years ago and start my own business and it was the best decision I could’ve made. Although my hard work at the agency was never acknowledged or recognized, as soon as I left the job they ended their business with my boss and hired me independently as their social media manager for their companies. If you can take anything out of reading my story, I would hope it would be the biggest risk is not taking any risks.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
One of the ways I keep in touch with my clients and foster brand loyalty is by always building trust from the very beginning. I like to hear my client’s opinions on my work so I usually text or email them frequently asking them if there are things I can help with. Another great way to keep in touch is by scheduling zoom calls or meetings where we go over any ideas or feedback they might have for me. It is very important for you to let your clients know they can always reach out to you.
How did you build your audience on social media?
Social media is important for any business. No matter how big or small your company or brand is you need to invest in social media. Although social media doesn’t always bring you sales, it does bring your company/brand awareness. It helps you always be in the mind of the consumer. If you are wanting to build your audience I would advise you to seek an expert. Having relevant content, posting attractive designs, and being constant will allow building trust between yourself and the consumer. Building an audience takes time, the number of followers or likes doesn’t matter as much. The impression of your company/brand to your audience is what is key.
