Alright, Ana Cecilia thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Cecilia Mattera: Art has accompanied her life from the small neighborhood workshops to her consolidation as an artist in the field of painting. As an explorer of other territories, she then took up sculpture, later reducing its format by applying it to designer jewelry, recently venturing into contemporary jewelry. With a spirit of permanent search, fusing colors applied to shapes that awaken the senses, she weaves a personal and mysterious imprint, mimicking elements of nature that accompany her work. She also combines real natural elements into her work that vibrate in consonance and harmony. …. Cecilia Mattera, with silent eloquence that impresses us deeply, with the serene passion of an inevitable freedom, with love, makes the world inhabited by art transparent to us and brings us the hidden treasure of ultimate possibilities.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
The goal that has been part of my creative work all my life was and is that art never dies, which is the force that allows us to express ourselves and release the deepest feelings.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I had to share my creative life with my professional life, which is my means of economic support. It is difficult to get out of this circle and I encourage all those talented people who can decide to opt for a life totally dedicated to art, even if it is difficult.
Family and inherited mandates in my time marked our personal decisions with fire.
I had to make way for art, sacrificing unique moments of rest or family, taking time away from my family, but making sure that the flame
