We were lucky to catch up with Ana Baez recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Ana thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
The Baez Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to uplifting and empowering women and young girls who have been impacted by life-changing traumas and hardships. Our mission is to provide essential programs, resources, and spiritual guidance that support individuals in navigating their journey toward purpose-driven, stable, and productive lives. This mission is deeply personal to me, as I understand the struggles of growing up in difficult circumstances. From becoming a young mother at 16, surviving domestic violence, to overcoming the trauma of my past, I have walked a path full of challenges. Despite dropping out of high school and facing setbacks in my education, I finally earned my GED in 2020 and am now pursuing my degree as I near graduation. Through resilience and faith, I healed and discovered my purpose. The Baez Foundation was born from these experiences, and we are committed to serving women and young girls, guiding them toward healing, empowerment, and the brighter futures they deserve.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am a wife, mother of three sons, Minister, International Chaplain, Bible Study teacher, and a two-time award-winning author. My love for the Lord Jesus Christ is the foundation of everything I do, and my mission is to serve women by helping them overcome adversity and discover their purpose. The Baez Foundation, Inc. has been a dream in my heart for over five years, and it became a reality when I decided to incorporate it in March 2024. This organization was born from my personal experiences, having navigated through many hardships and traumas in my life. Through it all, I found healing and strength in Christ, and now I am committed to helping others find the same path to healing and empowerment.
At The Baez Foundation, we are passionate about equipping women with the tools they need to succeed. Our key program, *Resilience Rising Workshop Series*, is a monthly workshop designed to focus on personal development, career readiness, and building resilience. These workshops provide participants with practical, immediately applicable skills that will empower them in their personal and professional lives. We also offer a Prayer Line, which takes place twice a month, providing a space for women to gather in faith, seek guidance, and support one another spiritually.
It is my belief that overcoming life’s challenges is possible, and I am committed to walking alongside others as they rise above their circumstances and step into their God-given purpose. The Baez Foundation is here to guide, uplift, and empower women on their journeys toward healing and fulfillment.
At The Baez Foundation, we offer a variety of transformative programs designed to empower and support women and young girls. One of our signature programs is *Rise & Thrive*, a one-day workshop held annually in November. This workshop is focused on preparing participants for the upcoming year by providing healing and empowerment through creative writing, helping them tap into their personal strength and resilience.
In addition, we are excited to introduce the *Living Waters Baptism Program*, set to begin in September 2025. This 8-week online program is designed for women and young girls who are interested in deepening their relationship with Christ and receiving water baptism. Following this, we offer the *Rise Above: Discipleship & Mentoring Membership Program*, a three-month mentorship initiative that is open to both those who have completed the baptism program and the public. Participants will be paired with a mentor who will provide personalized, 1-on-1 support, spiritual guidance, and growth in their faith journey.
Each of these programs is carefully designed to nurture healing, spiritual growth, and empowerment in the lives of women and young girls. Whether through personal development workshops, creative empowerment, or faith-based mentorship, we are committed to helping individuals rise above their challenges and thrive in their purpose.
At The Baez Foundation, we are most proud of the incredible team we’ve built—a group of compassionate individuals who truly care about others and are dedicated to serving with heart and purpose. Their commitment to making a difference is the driving force behind the foundation’s success. We are also deeply proud of the progress we’ve made over the past year, as we have seen real, positive change in the lives of the women we’ve had the privilege of impacting. The growth, resilience, and transformation we’ve witnessed in those we serve continue to inspire and motivate us as we move forward in our mission to empower and uplift women.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
My journey is a testament to resilience and determination. I became a mother at 16 and, as a result, dropped out of school. Despite the challenges, I never gave up on my education. It took me 20 years, and I faced many setbacks, including failing my GED four times. But I kept pressing forward, and in 2020, I earned my GED. Today, I am in my 4th year of college, and I am committed to continuing my education until I earn my Doctoral degree. My story is one of perseverance, and it reminds me that no matter how many obstacles life places in our path, with resilience and faith, we can keep moving forward and achieve our dreams.
One of the defining moments of my journey was when I found myself in a shelter with my two oldest sons at the age of 22, just after escaping a domestic violence relationship. It was an incredibly difficult time, filled with uncertainty and hardship. For four months, I faced countless setbacks, and the weight of it all felt overwhelming at times. But even in the midst of those struggles, I refused to give up. I kept pushing forward for myself and my boys, holding onto the hope that things would get better. At 23, I finally got my first place, a fresh start for my family. That experience taught me the power of resilience—the strength to keep going even when everything feels impossible. It’s a reminder that no matter how many times life knocks us down, we have the ability to rise again and move toward a brighter future.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building an online audience has been a journey of authenticity, consistency, and transparency. I focus on promoting our services regularly, but I also believe in sharing both the good and the bad. Being transparent with my audience is essential—how else will they see the resilience in my story if I’m always sugarcoating it? I make sure to engage with my audience as often as possible, taking them along with me on my journey. I often go live to promote our services or simply offer words of encouragement, showing that I’m right there with them, navigating life’s ups and downs. The key is to be yourself—people appreciate genuine, real connections. When you show up as your authentic self, your audience will connect on a deeper level and truly value what you have to offer.
