We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Amy Faye Kaina a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Amy Faye, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your business sooner or later?
I actually do wish I had started my business sooner. I absolutely love working in this field and with my clients. A few years ago I lived in Alaska and the people around me did not support my dreams. They told me social media was useless and that I wasn’t going to make anything of myself if I pursued it. That was a waste of time. Sadly I didn’t pursue it for the first two years I wanted to. However, fast forward two years. and my business is thriving. I finally put aside everything people were telling me and started this business for myself. It was the best decision I ever made and I hope that others who are experiencing the same as I did will also be able to pursue their dreams.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers?
I started my business three years ago. I’m a social media manager and coach, and I help successful businesses thrive online. I especially love working with female entrepreneurs of who want to grow their own businesses and take charge of their lives. I provide services in tiktok & Instagram management. As well as Pinterest management. I love being able to coach women to follow their dreams and grow their online presence.
My first client was a small startup that had just been acquired by a larger company. They needed help with their social media strategy, but they also wanted to know how to use Instagram in particular, since it was their only platform at the time. I helped them plan out a strategy and then execute it; we ended up doing quite well!
Since then, I’ve worked with a wide range of companies. One of the things that makes me so good at what I do is that I can work with small or large companies—and everything in between—to find out what makes them unique and then use that knowledge to create an effective online presence for them.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Last year I was in nursing school and struggling through school. Now I am married to the man of my dreams, with a baby on the way, and growing the business of my dreams that allows me to be with and raise my family was also being able to have financial freedom.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
I always consistently post on all my social media channels, as well as generate warm, leads for my business! I do this by interacting with my ideal clientele on tiktok, Instagram, and pinterest.
