Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Amy D’aulerio. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Amy, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
Well this is actually an interesting story…we had a different name for our podcast in the beginning, bought the website, had the instagram handle, we were working on the logo and just like that another podcast launched in those few weeks with the same name. So we took a step back and thought about it….Jenna and I had moved to different cities a few years back, different coasts and continued to keep up with our friendship, which we often found was in parts due to our shared love of all things Bravo and pop culture. And oddly enough Jenna had remembered my husband had said “isn’t it funny that you guys remain bonded by Bravo all these years later”…she pointed it out and we ran with it!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Jenna and I had always had a love for pop culture and Bravo TV. We had become fast friends in Philly at our restaurant job over ten years ago talking about the Kardashians, Vanderpump Rules and any pop phenonemon that came our way! Jenna received a job offer in SF and was off to her dream city with me moving shortly after to NYC.
Maintaining bicoastal friendships isn’t always the easiest but we were always connected about our favorite reality tv shows. Fast forward to 2023 when we thought about starting a podcast. Our text thread was full of our own fan theories, favorite bravo-lebs and celebrity sightings – we thought, could this be something? SO we gave a go and here we are just over a year later signed with Hurrdat Media!
For us, we are most proud of turning our tiny idea into something. We put a lot of work into growing this, from all of the bad audio and learning how to edit, post a podcast, use new technologies, etc. It feels good that it is starting to pay off! We have a loyal following on both IG and TikTok and are grateful for the opportunity to grow with Hurrdat Media.
How’d you meet your business partner?
Jenna and I met while working in the service industry in Philadelphia. We were both at a time in our life trying to figure out our next move but enjoying our lives in the meantime. As anyone from Philly knows, while it is listed as one of the largest cities in the US, it is one of the smallest in terms of who knows who. After Jenna and I go to chatting we realized that her grandmom was my High School guidance counselor. Small world! That almost instantly bonded us and gave us a whole slew of things to discuss outside of our normal pop culture and reality tv world.
When Jenna was offered a job in her dream city, San Francisco, she left the restaurant and went for it! We continued to visit each other and keep in touch with pop culture and Bravo being our connector of chit chat always.
As two Philly girls living on opposite coasts, we decided to turn our love for all things Bravo and pop culture into a podcast in 2023 and from there, we formed Bonded by Bravo podcast!

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
While we are still continuing to build our presence on social media, we had one particular bit of Bravo news that we broke on the podcast that started to get the wheels in motion for us.
Up until February 2024 Jenna and I had been doing our own social media however not having the time to fully commit to posting regularly, creating videos, etc. So we decided to hire a friend of a friend to work on our social media. While this person had no prior social media management experience, his video editing was amazing! He was able to turn our video podcast clips into fun, engaging edits that helped grow our tiny podcast and helped us to start getting noticed.
In April 2024, he posted one of his edited clips to our social media and it took off with over 500k views. This helped us gain traction on both IG and TikTok and even got us noticed by a media company who eventually signed us.
Advice I would give to folks starting out, is don’t be afraid to go for it! I think in the beginning Jenna and I felt like we had outgrown social media and technology had surpassed us. And that was our mistake. Since starting the podcast, we both have had to learn new technologies, step out of our comfort zones and just risk failing. But in the end, hiring someone to help us get our social media up and running was the best move for us! It helped us grow and learn at the same time.
