Amy, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?

I became involved in fitness when I was 15 years old in the 1980’s after losing over 80 pounds and developed a deep passion for wanting to help others fastback their progress and not go through the hardships I did to achieve my goal. I always had a core soul desire in the helping others come home to their joy and empowerment. Fast forward decades and in 2008., when the recession hit, my fitness career took a huge nosedive. I had serval high profile clients as I was living in LA (after moving there from New York to “pursue the dream”) at the time and many of them cut corners where they could. I was at a crossroads as I was feeling my body getting tired and my passion from fitness was weaning, plus I took a huge hit where overnight I couldn’t pay my rent. It was a scary time. I had a decade of experience as a healer and was born with vast intuitive gifts yet was terrified to step into my soul calling and being seen for who I truly was as a modern day medicine women and leader in feminine empowerment. I took that leap of faith when I realized not totally changing careers was doing a disservice to those that could benefit from what I have to offer. It turned out to be the best decision I ever made as my abilities expanded, my own personal healing catapulted and the floodgates of opportunities and abundance flowed through. I had a HUGE “her story” of people being jealous of me and attempting to harm me so stepping into the spotlight again was a HUGE risk for me and overcoming my fear of being judged, misunderstood and attacked became the beacon of light as a pioneer and paved the way for others to come home to their true soul path as the magical and powerful women they are. I now see it was my soul mission calling as more then ever we need more women to step into their leadership and power by healing the wounded feminine in them that is holding them back, like I did.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

In 2008 when the recession hit and I was closing the doors to my 20+ years in the fitness industry ( and a HUGE way I identified myself as) I went through a 3 year journey of getting clear on how to bring my work in the feminine healing arts to the world. Yet, I was still terrified to truly step into it and shine my light. I tried on different ways to be of service that I loved to make a living yet I was still hiding behind something else.

Every door that began to open, and I started to get comfortable, become steady financially and I would think ” I could do this” would shut just as quickly because I was still hiding behind something else.

From moving into Holisitc nutrition counseling, to teaching my Sensual Diva Dance classes in health clubs that were too progressive for corporate, to selling nutritional products for a company,

It was a period of living on a prayer and deepening into my faith and commitment to not selling myself out to get by.

When I look back, I see (more than ever) why as spirit would not allow me to NOT step into my soul calling. It was a scary time yet it was also a time of learning the resilience and the ability to support others as I went through the journey myself and it was so worth it!

Alright – let’s talk about marketing or sales – do you have any fun stories about a risk you’ve taken or something else exciting on the sales and marketing side?

I remember in 2013, I was in the inner inquiry of what feels aligned in my being of how to market myself and solidify my brand/company name.
So many of my colleagues at the time were sitting behind their desks writing tons of sales copy and email marketing. They were “niching” themselves in the “money” “relationships” or “health” niche.
For me, that felt exhausting and didn’t feel aligned to be categorizing my work into a “niche”. The popular marketing strategy back then was to “give them what they want and then once they’re enrolled as clients, you give them what they really need”.

So for example, I had many colleagues suggesting that I brand myself as how to make more money as a speaker and becoming more magnetic….when the underbelly of my work is healing and embodying your feminine power, which then magically attracts whatever it is you desire.

It didn’t feel honest and transparent to lead with how to make more money, which, of course is what happens when a woman steps into her feminine power, and as a result of working with me yet my brand is in the healing, self development/spiritual growth genre.

I made the decision instead of branding my company as “Magnetize Your Audience” which I knew would become a 7+ figure business overnight, I went with “Safe To Shine” and coming home to your throne as the Queen You Inherently Are. (my former company name that has since evolved in Women’s Worth Academy.

I listened to my intuition, stayed true to myself instead of listening to all the others around me who were multiple 7+figure businesses, and instead of going with what I knew would work, I took the risk of listening to my inner knowing and the minute I did all the doors opened for me and it’s been magical and abundant ever since and my company has generated over 7+ figures… testimony to “Build it, they will Come”
