AMN x DAS , appreciate you joining us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
After graduating high school I didn’t go to college like the rest of my peers , I left my hometown of Charlotte NC and moved to New York City to build my foundation and chase my dreams. I definitely believe in getting your education and I aim to still embark on that journey but I accepted the path that was laid for me and I have no regrets. Now I’m a full time independent artist and CEO I created passive income from my music and businesses although I’m not considered financially rich Im rich in mental so I know it’ll turn into its physical counterpart as long as I keep believing and working
AMN x DAS , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Music has been a apart of my family culture for a long time, I started off singing at the age of 2 ,and performing since pre-k. I can say it sort of been in me this whole time but watching my talents flourish into my adult years would eventually be my ultimate task. I am most proud of my resilience I dont come from inheritance, there was no help at the start and that taught me the power of investing in yourself and doing whatever it takes to see your creative evolve no matter if family, friends, or your significant other don’t essentially invest. This experience not only taught me a lot about myself as a artist but definitely shaped me as a humble individual, even though I’m not signed to a MAJOR I’ve been able to study their infrastructure and implement that into the business of my craft. Im most proud of the way I remain authentic in the music, sticking to my reality is what separates me from most artist in todays time.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Staying focus through the obstacles, Ive always attached my reality to the art I dont have to pretend or speak on experiences I’ve never even been apart of, I stay true to me and what I go through day to day and that keeps me balanced.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
There was a time where I looked around and seen how a lot of artist coming up had friends, and family playing certain roles to get them to where they at now, and I didn’t have that, at the time Im the only one who seen my vision the way I did but that never stopped me from wanting to learn and get better with my creative. Looking into the crowd and not seeing none of your people, that’s a different feeling but I am blessed to have been able to go through it cause you start to realize their support is not required it’s the people you don’t know who you trying to reach. Every-time I got off stage I gained new support I was greeted by people I didn’t know so I stuck to the script and built my leverage from that perspective.
