Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Amira Hadla. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Amira, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Getting that first client is always an exciting milestone. Can you talk to us about how you got your first customer who wasn’t a friend, family, or acquaintance?
It all started when I was quarantining few years ago. I was baking non-stop at home. One day I decided to post a insta story of my banana bread, a nice person watching my stories from Texas asked me If those were for sale and shipping. I told him: “not really but I could actually try to”. He said: “I would like to order one please”
He’s still my client and is a really nice supporter.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Amira Hadla, I’m a self taught vegan chef located in Miami Beach. I started my own little business few years ago just letting my inspiration for food go up.
I make the most yummy vegan gluten free sugar free donuts in Miami, they’re called Moon Donuts.
I usually do deliveries and also sell them at Manna Life Food located in Downtown.
I also do private cooking at people’s houses, for people who have no time to cook or simply don’t like to do it.
Cooking is my passion, the kitchen is my happy place and plants are my favorite food.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I started doing lives and taking risks. Showing my face and my voice. Sharing my perspective and simply being myself.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I decided to accept everything that happens on my cooking journey. If I feel like I’m struggling to get something, I give it its space and focus in something else until that first thing finds its reset.
