We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Amir Adib a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Amir, thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
My name is Amir; creatively, I go by A Mirror. My mission is reflecting light and saving memories.
If it’s a person, I want to reflect their true essence, their beauty, their soul – the part of them that they can’t see.
If it’s an artist, I want to reflect the power of their gift – in order to show it to the rest of the world.
If it’s a business or a brand, I want to reflect their most authentic and professional image – to establish them as a trusted leader.
We use mirrors to see ourselves, our true selves. I aim to reflect the light within whatever’s in front of my lens.

Amir, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I started using cameras in middle school, for fun with friends, to tell stories and make memories. By high school, the art of photography peaked my interest, and by college, I ended up studying it. Studying how to make images because one of the best decisions of my career.
At that time, I also began creating videos, finding that the marriage of music and images came naturally to me. I then started focusing on collaborations with musicians and artists, using cameras as a way to reflect and frame their craft.
I am here to help create an image of the moment as an artform; whether that’s a still picture or a moving video.
I love how cameras can combine light and sound to help us remember a moment and convey a feeling.
I help clients reflect their true essence and emphasize their gift to the world – using bold imagery and a visual style that sparks a fire in the soul. I’m very proud to be in this service to others; to help capture precious memories in life, to reflect the very best light in whatever is in front of my lens.
Can you share your view on NFTs? (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
We need it, or something like it. We finally have a way to store, trade, collect, and assign value to digital art assets.
When I made images in college, the only place to show them was framed on a wall, or on early photo websites, blogs, forums. This was before the major social media shift.
After college, the main platform for my digital art was on social media, namely Instagram, YouTube, etc.
As digital artists, we need a method to publish our art in a way that honors the legacy of how art has always been viewed, enjoyed and collected. NFTs are a start.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
The magic and mystery of life.
The fact that each moment is passing us by, and cameras are the only way I know how to stop one.
