Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Amina Sahovic. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Amina , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I knew I wanted to be in the creative field once I started my lip gloss business and had the opportunity to create my own brand campaigns. The adrenaline I gained from being my own creative director and planning my releases from scratch is something that made me realize how many ideas I had not only for myself, but others as well.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
My name is Amina Sahovic, and I am the CEO of my lip gloss brand Glossy and Bossy G&B, LLC. Knowing I wanted to produce my own products and create lip glosses to suit every individual was a given, but I was not aware of the passion that would unfold during the process. Not only did I find my talent, but also started pursuing my dreams. I realized how much I loved being in charge of a vision. When it comes to my creativity, I always dig deep inside. Whatever I am feeling in the moment is usually what will come out in an artistic form, and I take pride in it. My lip glosses are a product, but they are the product of something much bigger than just lip gloss. It comes down to every little detail that goes into planning a release, especially the vision that gets people excited for your products.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My goal is to encourage everyone to go against the norms of society and find a career in the field you love. While it is easy to get caught up in the stigma of having to pursue certain professions, the creative industry is just as valuable. There’s a lot of hidden talent, and it’s important to showcase that. You never know where your mind will take you.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I always believed running a business had to be on your own. During my time in University, I realized it’s important to have a support system behind you who can help you make your goals a little easier. I’ve always been a “I got it alone” type of person, but I realized I was working harder, not smarter. Find your trusted team and follow your dreams, this also gives other people opportunities as well.
