We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Amianadet Melendez a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Amianadet, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?

Making and planning events have been one of my passion since a young age. I use to draw sketch of my birthday parties, design the looks and planing every single detail. I have been doing it for more than 20 years…everyone ask me for help then to get the party started! Family, friend, coworkers they all come to me too seek my help and always got comments like you should do it as Business or you are really good at it…but for me was just a hobby…something that I love to do. I made it for my own 15 birthday party and for every job party, for my church activities. Then the pandemic hit us.

Im a mother of four kids, busy life, working hard 10 hrs in a warehouse….and I was pregnant with my last one. I was so afraid and confused. I didn’t want to leave my child out with so many things going out. One day I sit with my husband…and he just know how passionate I was about making our kids birthdays and how creative we can get…
He opens my mind… and with his support, I start getting the last strengths I thought I still need to become a Business owner. I took some balloons courses, some sweets class, and complement with my wedding planner and florist experience. On October 2020 was born AMC Party Creations Inc

The name was a my accountant idea… he know me from long time. He mentioned that I was too creative, I cannot close my options with just one option of services.

While I was doing my kids birthday… I which someone gave me advice, or share a supplier name that made my life easy. Organizing events as parents is a lot.

We decide that we were going to services to those busy mommies and busy customers. We will help them made their events as dreamed. And we provide the full service from to design and set up of the complete event. If you hire us, you get access to our supplier list for everything you need to complete your party. You will have options to made everything through us directly and avoid the overwhelming feeling of made calls and arrangements with 10 different supplier.

Our you can choose just specific items from our variety of services.

When a customer call us, we offer them our decoration services and let them know the variety of services we can provide… they get so excited… when I mention we could also find them the chairs, tables, sweets, cakes supplier… and they will not have to made all those calls, and get just one Invoice for all.

We have a huge service variety, balloons decor, flower arrangements, personalize gifts, tables, chairs, tents, tablecloths, centerpieces, characters backdrop, personalize backdrop, linens, entertainment, chocolates sweets, between others services that can been arranged.

These have been possible for the wonderful supplier list, that we have been creating in these two years.

This project was a dream worked, for many many years and finally come true. I love to see my customer faces and hearing their thoughts… expressing how much they love our work and how satisfying was choosing us between many options in the market.

I love the idea of keeping less load on my customer day duties. I always told them let me do what I love and your work will be just seat, relax and enjoy your party,

We have been officially in the market for 2 years. But have been working on the event’s Business for more than 15 years working in wedding, social events and birthdays parties.

As owner and creator, I have florist certification, balloons certification. Im a CBA Certified Balloon Artist, our company is fully registered. We have taking courses with recognize balloon artist. We are always learning new techniques and updating our inventory. To provide the best services and quality. We work with professional balloons brands.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

My most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been my customer referral. The market has know a huge variety of services and providers. Your best reference will be a satisfied customer.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

Been honest, an open with my customer. No hidden fees or cost. Always keep them informed and involved on the process.
