Hi Amethyst, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear from you about what you think Corporate America gets wrong in your industry and why it matters.

Corporate culture often labels professionals in the spiritual community, such as psychics, as disadvantageous and even view the ideology and practices we hold as unprofessional. That point of view causes the bulk of Corporate America to avoid building professional relationships within the spiritual community as if they are intellectually superior to us as professionals. Corporate America could absolutely benefit from working with spiritual professionals in areas such as on-boarding, location scouting, and overall employee wellness. But our community is viewed with heavy skepticism.

Skepticism of spiritual advisors stems from fear-based belief systems and inauspicious experiences, along with the common misconception that all spiritual advisors use the same set of techniques associated with what is known as cold reading. Despite that misconception, there exists individuals, such as myself, who needs no conduit other than their cognition to perform divination.

The industry of psychics and mediums is heavily convoluted, there are multitudes of misconceptions about the type of work we do, and both Corporate America and everyday people fear the unknown because of that.

Generally, people fear knowing more about what they do not understand than they fear what they do understand. What I mean by that is, when you have knowledge of something, that knowledge empowers you to choose if that something should be feared or not. Take fire, for instance. Children are taught fire is dangerous. They later learn many ways in which fire is an element of necessity.

Boy scouts learn to make fire, cook with fire, be warmed by the fire, and light dark paths with fire, all while gaining knowledge of how it should be used rather than feared. Of course, you could get that one boy scout that chooses to use fire for his appeasements. In many ways the world of esotericism is reflective of fire, and psychics and mediums are reflective of boy scouts.

It is best to view professionals in the spiritual community from a fire and boy scout perspective. You could come across a boy scout who helps you with his knowledge of fire or puts you at risk with his lack of respect for that knowledge.

Jim Rohan, one of my favorite motivational speakers, spoke on the timid approach to life, where he teaches – Everything about life is risky and that some people can tend to be too cautious or too reckless.

Although I understand the reasons for the skepticism of corporate America, I also think they tend to be too cautious. Corporate America joining forces with spiritual professionals would better help employees manage the stress of corporate duties and improve the mental, physical, and spiritual work environment, as a whole. We could provide the warmth and be the benefit of the fire Corporate America needs.

Amethyst, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Of course. Aside from being a renowned Psychic Medium, I am also a Certified Holistic Life Coach. Coaching and teaching is my passion, and intuitive-ship is my calling. My business is self-titled, Amethyst Philoctete. In many ways, I am my brand.

People often ask if Amethyst is my real name. Yes. It is my mothers birthstone. Amethyst (the gemstone) is said to have powerful protective, psychic and other beneficial spiritual properties. When you look up the meaning, the benefits, and the spiritual properties of an amethyst stone, it is almost a perfect description of my personality and abilities. I guess you can say it is power in a name.

Much like the amethyst stone, I offer services that help to alleviate client stresses surrounding their life concerns. Those services are: Intuitive Sessions, Medium Sessions, and Life Coaching. I provide insightful information about the clients overall life. Plus, the insight needed to understand their life circumstances and how to triumph over them.

As I mentioned, I do not use or need any conduit such as names, birthdays, tarot cards, crystal balls, or anything of that nature. I rely on my innate abilities to provide clarity to my clients. It is what sets me apart from others in my industry. The only question I ask before providing a service is, are you ready?

In addition to my Intuitive and Coaching services, you can find downloadable self-help workbooks that are only available on my website. The latest workbook is titled How To Woman: Through The Thorns of Hate. It focuses on the empowerment of the Divine Femine, who has faced forms of misogyny. That misogyny could be as simple as workplace gossip or as big as down right betrayal. The insight and exercises offered in this book frames how to remain in your divine power unscathed.

Also I recently relaunched my members community. The online members area of my website is only available to individuals for whom I have provided service. The community caters to those who enjoy the benefits of spiritual exclusivity and like-minded connections. It also provides clients with a place where they can get a daily dose of positivity, humor and clarity without the societal pressure of social media.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

I would not say I had to unlearn anything. I did have to reevaluate the perspectives I held about spiritual warfare. What I am about to share with you next is one of the many reasons I will forever rebel against chaos and confusion in this world.

We all go through various experiences that may seem so unfathomable that we fear sharing them. However, I refuse to be consumed by fear – of any kind. So, I do not mind sharing the story.

I recently faced adversity I did not see coming (that is a pun to being psychic, by the way). My unfathomable experience was having to fight wicked witchcraft.

I have always known manipulation of other people’s will is a choice that some people choose for their own reasons. I, particularly, do not choose to partake in that activity for any reason. Whether witchcraft or not, the negative projections people place on themselves and then onto others can be volatile. I never thought in my wildest dreams that would be the adversity I would ever face, but I did.

At the time, it was so unbelievable that an intrusion such as witchcraft had invaded my reality. It took a quick second for me to get over the initial shock of it all. Eventually, I got over the shock and did what I do best. I transmuted the energy of the negative attacks. Witchcraft, in its negative form, can stagnate and block progression in an individual’s life. As an Earth Angel here to help raise the vibration of this world, stagnation and blockage are two things I can not allow to intrude on my life purpose.

Although I was aware I was being victimized, I chose not to sit within that victimization. So, I sat within myself. I psychoanalyzed the situation from every angle. Then, I coached myself. I used my abilities (the gifts of the Holy Spirit / The five Clair senses) and healed myself from the attacks of energetic manipulators. Most importantly, I continued to create new pathways to enlighten others through my business.

Those new found ways, I assure you, will roar through lifetimes beyond my own. I will teach and layway for others to know and live within the power of the Amplified Bible verse, 2 Timothy 1:7.

“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].”

In having to reevaluate the perspectives I held about spiritual warfare, I learned that there are people in this world, such as myself, that stand as lessons for others to unlearn lessons, such as bad habits and wicked ways. I also learned that your strength and faith – can be tested in more ways than a few, but if you lean into that strength with positivity, authenticity, forgiveness and universal love, you will pass every test set before you. That is how I live my life and run my business.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?

Absolutely! Bibles, first and foremost. I have seven different ones ranging from The Christian bible to The Veda, and each of them are profound in their messages. They have also shaped many of the philosophies I hold to this day. I am a huge science buff too. I love knowing how energy, the human body, and nature itself works on a scientific level. Zoology is another subject of interest for me and has been since childhood. Understanding animals has helped me to interpret signs and messages from the universe. When I was little, I used to hold conversations with animals and insects like Cinderella. I still do, actually. Books by Bruce Lipton, the Developmental Biologist, have been very impactful to me, especially when bridging the gap between science and religion.

As I mentioned earlier, everything from Jim Rohn, an American entrepreneur and motivational speaker, who remains one of my favorite motivational speakers today. Also Jordan Peterson, with whom I share endless perspectives, and videos of Sadhguru, a proponent of spirituality, have all been staples to how I operate as a human being and, ultimately, my business, considering the fact that I am the business. ;)
