We were lucky to catch up with Amelie Monira Egenolf recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Amelie Monira , thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
When I was a child, I spent most of my time in nature. My parents were gardens experts, and they had cultivated breathtakingly beautiful Asian gardens. As the second youngest of five children, I often found myself in the garden, admiring the vibrant colors of the flowers, the fluffy clouds that floated overhead, and the playful animals that scurried about.
As I grew older, my love for nature only deepened. I longed to explore the world beyond my garden, to discover new landscapes and encounter new creatures. I started traveling to distant lands and loved to explore beauty and art in every corner. I lived a few years in New Zealand, Mexico and Venezuela and met amazing artists and saw lots of breathtaking landscapes. The passion for art was always with me and I tried to create my first art works.
Despite my doubts I could be a great artist myself the desire to create art never left me. I found myself daydreaming about painting magnificent landscapes and capturing the essence of the natural world on canvas. One day, I decided to do some online courses to get better craftsmanship. After many hours of practicing and learning new skills I felt so inspired that I wanted to be a full time artist.
I found that I could express my feelings and emotions through the colors and brushstrokes. As I painted, I lost myself in the moment, and the world around me faded away. It was just me, my canvas, and my imagination.
Over time, I began to refine my technique and explore different styles of painting. I took the Mastery Programm of the Milan Art Institute and practiced relentlessly, determines to improve my skills. As I became more confident in my abilities, I started to share my art with others. I was nervous at first, but the positive feedback I received was overwhelming. People were impressed by my work and the passion that I poured into every piece.
Today, I am proud to say that I am a master painter. I can paint anything I can imagine, from majestic mountains to delicate flowers. But more than that, painting has given me a sense of purpose and fulfillment that I never knew was possible. It has allowed me to connect with the world around me and express myself in ways that words cannot. And for that, I will always be grateful.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
In today’s world, artists have unprecedented opportunities to showcase and sell their work online. And for those who appreciate the transformative power of art, the possibilities for personal enrichment are equally limitless.
Bringing an original work of art into your home or workspace can completely alter the energy of the space, infusing it with beauty, creativity, and positive vibes. And for the artists themselves, nothing is more gratifying than receiving recognition and support from their fans and collectors.
By offering encouragement and support to artists, we can help them fulfill their mission of making the world a more beautiful and inspiring place. Whether it’s purchasing an artwork, recommending their work to others, or simply liking and commenting on their social media posts, every little bit helps.
Business owners, too, can play a key role in supporting artists by displaying their work in their office, boutique, or store. By doing so, they not only add visual interest and character to their space, but also help emerging artists gain the exposure and recognition they need to thrive.
At the end of the day, supporting artists is a win-win for everyone involved. By offering our support, we not only help talented creatives overcome barriers and succeed in their endeavors, but we also enrich our own lives with the beauty, inspiration, and friendship that art can bring.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
In a world that can often feel heavy with negativity and gloom, finding positivity and beauty can be a challenge. Unfortunately, this is especially true in the realm of art. Many artists and creators have fallen into the trap of creating dark, depressing works that can leave viewers feeling down and disheartened.
However, there is hope. My art school Milan Art Institute and myself, we are leading a charge to change the art world for the better. We believe that art should be a source of joy and empowerment, not something that drags people down. By focusing on creating positive, uplifting works, they are leading a renaissance of art that is both beautiful and inspiring.
In a world where it can be all too easy to focus on the negative, it is refreshing to see artists and creators like those at Milan Art Institute choosing to create works that bring happiness and hope. By spreading positivity through their art, they are making the world a brighter, more beautiful place. And that is my mission too.
So if you’re tired of the same old depressing art, why not seek out something more uplifting and empowering? Thanks to the efforts of Milan Art Institute and others like them, there has never been a better time to rediscover the beauty and joy of art.
